Lovely place. I was staying locally for a few days so decided to have our last meal at the Crown. Great choice X The menu offered was good hearty meals and served with a special thought for presentation. Delicious food, good service and lovely warm welcome. Thankyou x

One of Norfolk's hidden gems, the Crown has a fabulous offer for every type of customer. We took a couple of rooms here - they're completely boutique in nature, a million miles better than the usual 'room above a pub'. Both evening meal and breakfast the next day were first class, and with a real focus on locally-sourced ingredients. We also asked the Crown to host a wake for a family funeral. Again, the spread was outstanding. No frozen food from the cash and carry; all homemade, and with local ingredients. It delighted the guests on a freezing winter's day after the sadness of the funeral. Full marks on all counts to Charlotte and the team!

Best Sunday Carvery dinner I had in years. I couldn't choose between the beef pork or gammon so had all three. Highly recommended

Outstanding service food and event, such a nice place to see Micheal Goddards relatives. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and chatting with family.

Two of us had an early dinner at 6pm. Food was absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately service was not a good experience. When I went in both visible members of staff behind the bar turned and walked to opposite end. We were sat in the restaurant, which had to have lights and heat turned on for us, even though we'd booked. Given menu. Had to ask for vegetarian menu. Asked two questions about menu, both had to be referred to another member of staff. Staff not aware of bitters on tap, not sure flavour of soup of the day, didn't know what vegetarian option came with as it "isn't popular, we never sell it". Went to loo, to find it was pitch black and couldn't find light switch. Had to chase drink order. Food came, and was unbelievably delicious. We had pudding, again food was fantastic, but my second coffee didn't turn up until I had paid the bill, put my coat on, and asked if I'd been charged, apparently I had, so drank it in my coat. Really hope the crew were on their first night, and they improve with a bit of experience as it was a lovely meal and we'd definitely go back. Really recommend but take a torch for the loo!

We didn't actually eat or drink here as we visited on a August Bank Holiday Sunday with no booking and they were very busy so couldn't accommodate us but they deserve a review as the lady who was outside serving was so friendly to us, she saw that we had tried to get a table but couldn't and so recommended a lovely pub down the road to try, despite being so busy she took the time to give us clear directions. The food looked lovely so hopefully when we visit again we'll get chance to taste it.

Nice little country pub. Rooms nicely done but a load of really low beams to navigate. Oddly the rooms are named but the keys are numbered, so after a long day it can get confusing. Good service, friendly and good pub grub with an excellent full English.

I booked for a group of 26 English and Germans on a Monday evening as part of our table tennis exchange programme. We pre-ordered from the full menu. Everyone agreed that the service and food were excellent. Food was on time, generous portions and piping hot. All the staff I dealt with were so helpful, Charlotte, Hannah, Charlottes mum, Lewis, plus another waitress whose name escapes me. Thank you everyone.

Food was nice and available. Not always the case on a Tuesday night in January.
