Went in for the first time yesterday. As a diagnosed Coeliac it's always scary to eat out and usually can only eat salad and the inevitable jacket potato.... What a culinary treat. A fresh gluten free roll with an assortment of meats and olives with sweet potato fries. The flavours were outstanding. My companion had the Scotch egg. I wanted to steal it. Lol. Can't wait to go back.
Popped in for a cheeky “wife can’t be bothered to cook tea”. Pleased to see the pub busy at 16.00 on a Sunday, had a few beers and a beautiful glazed ham roast. The wife had the chicken supreme which she said was the best meal she’d had for a long time. Excellent staff, excellent food, excellent service
Lovely service. Friendly welcoming and cosy. Chips were amaze-balls and fish finger sandwich freah fish in batter. Will definitely be returning :-)
Lovely friendly staff, quick service, cosy atmosphere and really tasty food! Highly recommend the Sunday roast...delicious!
Amazing food and lovely staff - Highly recommended, apparently taken over a few months ago and now superb, daily changing menu of really tasty food. Will go back whenever in the area.
Lovely meal on a Sunday afternoon, very friendly staff, very special food, loved the chocolate brownie and our dog was welcome too, thank you,
I visited today with my in laws who have been to you before... I can honestly say I loved it... the staff were very welcoming and the atmosphere was lovely!!! The food was out of this world and will definitely be coming back.... thankyou .
Great pub. The guys running it are brilliant and Gavin is so friendly and approachable. Will recommend to all my Scottish friends to visit if ever they are down that way.
Great food and very helpful re gluten free meal for my mum. Made it fresh from scratch
Excellent service, great food.Probably the best pint of Wherry I've tried in ages.Uncle Norm.
Fab family meal, great food, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff already booked to go again minus children
Lovely people, amazing food and drink would recommend to everyone
First time we've been and we absolutely loved it. Great food, great prices and the staff were excellent. Keep it up!
Very highly recommended; popped out for a late lunch with my partner and it really didn't dissapoint. Just a 15 minute drive away with many of our locals not serving food at that time in the day.
Brilliant food, beaut pint of Guinness (so I've been told), wonderful and friendly staff, cosy (especially next to the log fire) with a good atmosphere.
We had a nosey around after the meal, there is also garden room and pub garden which we will take advantage of on another occasion whilst it appears they have a street food pop up on certain days.
Whilst this wont be the cheapest pub you go to, it won't disappoint.
Great place with a lovely atmosphere. Delicious freshly cooked food. The staff were extremely friendly. Will definitely return.
Lovely quirky country pub. good food with a welcoming atmosphere.
Amazing food, great service and atmosphere. I tried the scotch egg which was so light, guinea fowl ravioli- it was divine.
Beautiful setting ,excellent staff, huge portions .
A roaring fire to sit by , hot fresh food that was delicious . Ideal for friends / couples / families . A little gem not to be missed !
Lovely character pub with boutique rooms for B & B, stayed 2 nights. Staff very kind and accommodating with long term family connection to the premises, great history with a modern twist. Thank you for the welcome and the kindness received it was greatly appreciated by myself and my 85+, let's not be too exact for Mum). Clearly a very popular village local.
A great atmosphere and welcoming staff, but the food was variable - OK but not exceptional. Chips were tasteless and dry. Peas over cooked and the Gnochi dish was dry (needed a moist addition to it). Looking at other reviews online, we probably got an off night, which happens in the best of establishments. But the welcome and ambiance was excellent.
Not been here for several years however as they were doing a Lunch Special, we decided to pop along.
We were not disappointed.
I had the Venison dish and my partner the Smoked Salmon Risotto. Both were absolutely delicious.
The weather was fine and we sat outside.
Great quality food.
Great service.
Very reasonable pricing.
We will be returning in the not too distant future.
Would love to see their amazing BBQ in use.
Took advantage of walking round the Village of Harpley after and up to the Church.
Lovely place.
This place is honestly one of the best I've visited. It's a lovely little comfy country pub with nice decor and a welcoming warm fireplace.
There's a good selection of food and drink and the Chef and wait staff are so amazingly helpful and accommodating, we had some allergies in our party of 7 and they prepared a dish fresh and off menu to accommodate the dietary requirements.
I couldn't have felt more comfortable and welcome and highly recommend anyone to visit
Popped in for a quick drink whilst camping in the area. Good choice of beer and gins. Friendly staff and locals. Very interesting decor. Nice outside seating if it had been warmer!
