We had a lovely home cooked meal upstairs. Fantastic location on the river. Wish you opened a bit earlier. Might be a bit rushed if we were going to the theatre although the waitress did ask if we were. Lovely waitress. Great find, great prices.

I discovered this lovely pub by accident. I asked for my usual drink of a muddy water. Had a good laugh with the bar man as he said he'd get it out of the river. The food was delicious, the view from upstairs was amazing down the the river. Service I couldn't ask for better. The memorabilia around the pub was fascinating. A very welcoming pub for a young woman on her own, was made to feel comfortable straight away. I will definitely be going back next time I'm in Kings Lynn . Thank you for a lovely end to a perfect day. :-)

Love this quaint & unique place and I especially love Roger. He certainly is a character but a brilliant one at that. The food and staff are fab and the location is excellent situated on the Ouse. Stunning views. Highly recommend it x ❤ x

Group of four of us visited there again today after walking the Fen Rivers Way from St Germans. Great beer, lovely food and excellent service. What more could you ask for? If you are looking for a traditional pub with excellent real ales and good quality food then the Crown and Mitre is the place to go.

A small group of us called in for lunch on a cold wet day whilst visiting the town. The main area is a veritable museum of nautical objects complemented with other interesting and unusual objects of interest on walls, shelves and ceilings. The light lunch we ordered, homemade soup and beautifully presented sandwiches was delicious. We all enjoyed our visit.

Visited for my mum's birthday. Service was fantastic. Food and drink was overpriced in my honest opinion. I think for Kings Lynn town centre charging London prices for wine and drinks isn't going to last especially when the spoons is next door. Very attentive and friendly staff. 4 adults 2 children with 1 drink each and we shared 3 desserts between us the bill came to £215. Xx

Gastropub with a nautical theme near to the waterside. If you can get a table in main pub area where it's warmer and there is more atmosphere. We were sat upstairs and it was a bit too quiet. The menu wasn't huge but the quality was good. There were a selection of real ales for those who wanted something different. Great puddings. Kitchen shuts earlier on a Sunday evening so factor this into any plans.

This is a really nice place, right by the river, the upper dining area has a lovely view and is great for sunsets, in fact the whole place has a lovely welcoming vibe to it. I had the crab and king prawn linguine, its really nice, I could have eaten it twice if I had room..... The staff are very friendly and efficient, I couldn't have asked for a better evening.

Wow what a lucky find, they were queuing outside spoons so walked down the road a little to find this gem. Not the cheapest but amazing food and very attentive staff

Recently came for a Sunday roast and it didn't disappoint. Great sized portions, huge yorkshires and plenty of gravy. The roast potatoes didn't seem very roasted, not much of a crunch but still ok. Had the 3 Pigs and all cuts of pork were great. Lots of crackling provided too. We were sat in the deck area with views over the river. Lots of unique decorations and history within the building. Definitely worth a visit.

Under new management. Food will be available in August. Decent pints of Ghost Ship + Bishop's Farewell. The view over the river was very relaxing. Lots of maritime memorabilia. It feels like a proper English pub !

Decent place for some good food and drinks. It is a bit on the expensive side of things for what you get. The best part in the view over the river

Very nice restaurant. Beer selection was a little limited for a "pub" but the food and service were excellent. Good alternative to The Bankhouse if you fancy a change. Also nice to see local brown shrimps and cheeses.

Enjoyed a lovely Christmas meal here last night. The food was great with dietary preferences and allergies well catered for (gluten free stuffing and gravy, vegan cheese). The service was also really good with friendly, attentive staff. Highly recommended!

Really nice pub with good beers, fantastic food and brilliant staff. Had a Sunday lunch here and it might seem a bit on the pricey side to many people but you get what you pay for. It's really good quality ingredients cooked by someone who clearly, really really knows and really, really cares about what they're doing. Definitely recommend it

One of the few remaining traditional pubs in King's Lynn. Thankfully the nautical memorabilia has all been retained. We had the excellent fish pie and will be back to sample the other dishes on the comprehensive menu. We wish William and the team every success and look forward to our next visit.

Lovely old 1600s pub nice food and beer, originally built as a house, well worth a visit. The current landlord has made a model of Lord Nelson's HMS Victory which is on display behind the bar (the landlord got feed up of cleaning the ship and so made a display cabinet to house it). There is an electric industrial lever switch on a board (in photo) that was used to turn on and off the power supply to the LINPAC factory across the river from the Crown and Mitre. There is also a wood lathe that the landlord used before the factory closed. The ferry is still in use today from across the river and calls at the Pub next door. There is much to see in the Crown & Mitre. Good ales also.

Amazing experience last weekend. Our meals were delicious and although the restaurant was busy, the food arrived in good time. Our waitress was lovely and was happy to explain the vegetarian options to my wife. Many thanks, we will be back!
