Haggis pakora is a must if on the special board. As a wheelchair user I entered the restaurant via a side entrance and I was given a choice of places at the table. Great service and amazing food.

We had booked for a family Celebration and we had a wonderful day . Food was excellent , good portion size and very tasty. We were made to feel very welcome by all the staff and they allowed us to present our own cake with final Teas and Coffees. It wasn't just a lucky find we truly hit upon a hidden treasure . Wouldn't hesitate to travel the distance from Ayrshire to visit again .

The name says it all!! The food here is amazingly delicious and the service is stellar. They had a party of 17 when we arrived and when we walked in the barkeep warned us that there were 3 children just in case that would bother us. We love kids so problem. The wine list was divine and the ambiance was comfy and lovely.

Amazing starters! Had the haggis pakora and tried the scallops both brilliant. Great service! The mains were a little bland, batter on fish no real flavor and chips I think were just frozen fried chips wild of been nicer to see some hand cut double cooked fries. Portion sizes were good.

Second time at this hidden gem and all I have to say is that the standards remain extremely high. The beer battered haddock was fantastic, generous portion, quality of the fish the best I have ever seen and the batter was simply perfect. The chips were good. I also had the giant prawns saltee and the tomato sauce was absolutely gorgeous, full of taste. Desserts are equally superb. I tried the mojito cheesecake and it was great. Service is very friendly attentive. The background music is really pleasant, perfect volume - sufficiently high to muffle conversations in the room but not too high that it would disturb conversation at the table. Will be coming back.

Went today for Mother's Day. Was given a complimentary glass of bubbly on arrival. Staff were all lovely and very efficient. We had citrus & pesto linguine with salmon, haddock & chips then tablet cheesecake with ice cream and iced chocolate parfait with raspberry sauce. Whole meal was delicious. Will definitely be back.

Fantastic all round. We were past customers at the Unicorn and are delighted that it has reopened. We menu selection for each course was a difficult choice as I liked everything on offer especially the deserts! So great food, wine and a no rush experience like you get in the City. Will return soon....
