Lively, fun, friendly. Mid evening football and rugby on the screens, good crowd. Later, the atmosphere changes for a younger clientele, main lights off, fancy lights and lively music. Really popular. And good prices for drinks!
£3 a pint of cider and the footy on what more can you want 🙂 although nice staff and a good atmosphere also adds to your enjoyment.
A pub through and through. Friendly, town-centre pub. Solid "regular" crowd. Nice little outside area "in" the town square so smokers catered for.
Door staff are the first thing you come across and they didn't give any bad vibe.
Inside is quaint yet up-to-date.
Karaoke wasn't intrusive.
The regulars were welcoming to newcomers and the bar staff put the cherry on top.

This is a great English pub where the locals go for cheap drinks. They only take cash, no credit cards are accepted. The restroom is really clean so it's an easy spot off the Hitchin town square to take a short break and relax or stay and have few pints. The locals even had a spontaneous Neil Diamon
