It’s a busy road that hosts Aldo’s with car parking all around in the streets surrounding. The restaurant is clean, my food (a black pudding supper) was cooked freshly and the staff were helpful. There was a lack of warmth in the place with no customer engagement. The delivery driver seemed very at home though. The black pudding was not ideal - cut in half then two halves battered - changing entirely how the dish ought to taste. The meal was served in a printed cardboard box which is the fashion now, I know that, but do we really need this level of extra packaging? A good experience, but there are better in the area.
Ordered on app it said delivery would be 45 minutes as soon as I paid it said delivery would be delayed by another 45 minutes.
The second week I thought I would book a time slot, booked for after 6 got an email saying it was delayed and would arrive at 7 the food came at 5 when I wasn't in, my wife took in the delivery and I had to reheat it.
The food is fine and have no problem with the chippy but whoever runs the app is useless
The best fish and chips ever. Even when i am writing this my mouth is watering thinking about it. Everything cooked perfect. Staff always very friendly.
Fast food made to specific order. Friendly staff, reasonable prices. Everyone enjoyed a their meal.
Great wee chippy since it was taken over. It's now my fave go to chip shop. Food is now awesome. 👍

We went here to try their chip, cheese and curry roll done in batter and I must admit it didn't disappoint! We visited rather than order delivery as we live outside the delivery area but it was worth it. Social distancing measures were in place and we felt confident with our visit which in these times is most definitely a must! Well pleased thank you.
Must admit did not have high expectations but wife wanted a chippy. So we order through food hub app. The food arrived quickly despite it been a Saturday night. I really enjoyed my half pizza crunch supper. Had not had one in years. My wife enjoyed her chips in curry sauce and roll and slice supper. Sum up chips 5 stars and all the extras 5 stars. Will been ordering again soon.
Bought two fish suppers and a sausage in batter supper. Fish was the best I'd had in a long time and my son enjoyed the sausage. Staff were very friendly. If I lived 200 miles closer, I'd make this my favourite local!
Decent chippie, the hamburgers are quite big, struggled to eat two..

Aldo’s fish and chip shop is a staple corner of the Kilwinning fast food world, a standard fish and chip shop menu with everything you’d expect to see in a local chip shop, also a great range Curries drinks and some classics, they also have a good supply of ice poles all year round
Situated at the junction of Dalry Rd and Byres Rd in Kilwinning, parking is limited but there’s a good wee bit just up the road towards St Winnings primary school to park for take away pick ups.
The shop is run by owner Karen and her friendly team they are always happy and smiling and glad to help.
The last time I was there was 2 days ago, we got a special fish supper a large bag of chips, 3 buttered rolls and a portion of fritters for a family of 4 adults and 2 kids, there was mountains of food left over to heat the next day, their curry sauce is also fantastic to add to any meal.
The best meal I’ve had from there is the half chicken supper, I was say it’s delightfully cooked and tastes great with a fair shaking of salt and vinegar.
Can’t wait for the next time I’ll be at Aldo’s
