We came here yesterday and the food and service was absolutely excellent! The cheese platter I had was so generous with 4 huge pieces of cheese as well as lovely fresh bread and salad. How I had room for a cake I don't know as the portions were huge but the mint aero cheesecake was amazing. Would definitely recommend :)

Just had the best home made cream tea I've ever tasted here. Not only was it delicious, but the portion sizes are humongous so very filling. We sat out in the lovely garden and enjoyed the sunshine. Very friendly and welcoming hostess. If you're in the area this place is a must. We will definitely be returning.

My mum and I visited Fryers Tea Room for her Mother's Day treat. It was our first time visiting the café after reading fantastic reviews on Facebook. We were not disappointed! Lovely big portions and the food tasted great! We were so full that we had to get our dessert to go! The staff were really friendly and accommodating. Great value for money, would highly recommend and hope to be visiting again very soon!

We had a takeaway lunch - a baked potato and a sandwich. Both were very generous and came with salad and coleslaw. Everything was delicious and very good value. The staff were very friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Thank you !

Placed a takeaway order over the phone, 10-15 minutes wait to collect. Grabbed some delicious cake while I was collecting too. All food was really fresh and tasty and reasonably priced too. Dog friendly too although we didn't eat in.

Lovely little tea room, they were very accomodating with our daughters egg allergy. We sat in one of the sheds in the garden which the kids loved. The lady who served us was very friendly and the afternoon tea was excellent. Would highly recommend.

We had a beautiful sandwich and cream tea. I cant praise the quality of the food highly enough. The surroundings are quaint and clean. The staff efficient and friendly. Made our holiday. Definitely top highlight. Can't wait to go to Penstowe again so that we can pay another visit. Having sampled the tea,, breakfast is a must next time. It's not often that you drop on somewhere as good as this.

We were on route from Exminster to a site near Bude, and came across this tea room by surprise. Lovely quaint little place with homemade cakes and tea served in actually teapots. I tried the carrot cake which was really good. Also plenty of other cakes along with a chocolate cheesecake. Service was quick and efficient with friendly staff. Worth a visit if you are near Kilkhampton.

Lovely little cafe with a range of food. We had two breakfasts for £10 - bargain! It even came with a BIG pot of fresh tea, none of your old tea bags.

The cake & most of the meals are good for what it costs l, but the coffee (Cappuccino, etc) always tastes a bit weird! I'm not sure how they make it, but maybe they need to look at what machine & coffee they use.

Classic Cornish cream tea cafe, good range of food, friendly service. A specialty, in addition to the usual cream tea scones; honey & ginger, chocolate, cream cheese & chutney and others!
