Visited for a night to explore the local area before a works event in York. Staff were lovely and friendly before arriving and whilst there. Having booked a table for an evening meal I explained I could be late due to traffic and long drive, they offered to cook me food and have it waiting for me. F
We went for a walk around the white horse. Booked this place the night before for Sunday lunch. We certainly weren’t disappointed. Top notch food, service and beer 😊
Tucked away in a small village, this is a very friendly pub that serves good food. Great service considering they were catering for a large table we appreciated that we weren't forgotten about. Definitely somewhere we would return to once again for a meal.
Lovely lunch of steak pie with chips and veg. We were the first ones in the restaurant with every table reserved. Staff very friendly & attentive and parking available in The Square Would be nice to return after a nice walk when the weather is better as very close to The White Horse.
Lovely public house in a beautiful setting didn't try the food but will do soon great menu

Beautiful people. Offered us a coffee when we were sheltering from the rain. The village and pub are stunning. Well worth a visit.
We popped in for a swift pint one dark and wet evening in early November 2023. Lovely stay, but the room smelt really bad of drainage was a little off putting. I’d read this on a few other reviews but hoped it was a one off. Room was nice and clean, some hand wash, shower gel etc would have been a nice touch. Breakfast was fab, coffee was awful, cold and weak. Staff were super

We stayed a night and dined downstairs. It is a superb pub with really nice rooms upstairs. All the staff were excellent and very helpful. The food was superb and we stayed afterwards and chatted to the staff who really helped make our stay that little bit more enjoyable. Breakfast was great! Dog fr
