The first & last pub in England. Great beer & honest food. Perfect for stargazing, walkers, & very dog friendly. Even people that can’t afford engines for their bikes! Check out the village campsite, shop & the pub has free camper van parking for customers!!

What a lovely friendly place, they welcome motorhome owners and hook up is free. The food was awesome and generous portions, loved the comfy couch next to the log burner. Resident dogs were such a pleasure, so nice to see dogs welcome. This pub couldn’t be in a better spot in the middle of the Forrest, what an awesome find, can’t wait to return and have told all our friends that it’s a must visit.

Fantastic home cooked food, friendly staff, welcomes dogs, very accommodating and well priced, popular place to visit and have their own fishing rights. Always stay 2 nights at least when we go. Highly recommend.

Visited on route to the observatory - very glad we ended up here! A quiet night, we ate in the pub area by the cosy fire with the resident dog who was very friendly. Lovely atmosphere and staff. Stayed a while for food and pool. Plenty vegetarian options at good prices all around £8/9, I had the vegetable, bean and cashew nut rogan josh with rice, chips and mini naans with chutney. Boyfriend had the scampi with chips, peas and tartare. Both of us thought the food was delicious and great portion size, filled us right up for the long drive! Will definitely be back soon :)

Lovely staff, a good pint and by far the best pub curry I've ever had! Thank you for having us!

Great pub, excellent friendly staff and locals. Food is plentiful and very good. Dog friendly. As a stop over for motorhomes by far one of the most accommodating pubs I’ve come across with free electric and water should you need it.

I stayed at Kielder Campsite this weekend, visiting the Angler's Arms on two occasions. Early Friday evening was quiet and my meal arrived promptly. Battered cod, chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce. Standard pub fare and no complaints. The pint of local craft bitter was a good pint. I could have had a few more but intended staying awake most of the night... Saturday the craft bitter was off so I stuck with an Irish stout. Very nice it was too. I elected for a Tower Burger meal and unfortunately waited around 45 minutes to be served as the pub was very busy and they only had one chef on. To be fair the staff were very attentive and apologetic. A friendly female staff member gifted me a free pint of stout for my troubles. Once the meal arrived again, standard pub fare cooked well. Prices were reasonable too at £4.20 a pint and meals around £14. Overall I have no complaints despite the long wait at tea time on Saturday evening. A pub serving tourists that does not gouge is rare. If you're like me and don't mind a very down to earth pub, and are passing through or camping I'd recommend the Angler's Arms.

Visited at the beginning of August, with my newly married daughter, and her husband.. We had a fantastic time over 2 days. The staff were friendly, helpful, and most importantly happy. The meals we had were. Excellent, and the Ale gorgeous. After an absence of 5 years (We used to live in the village) I was very pleasantly surprised, so much so I have returned on numerous occasions. Great place, visited yesterday, and already anticipating a return. Well done all at The Anglers Arms.

Spent the weekend in Kielder mountain biking with friends. We ate here on both evenings and the food was spot on! Good, honest pub food at very reasonable prices. The beer was very well kept and a good choice too. The staff are very welcoming and polite. Malc, the landlord is a lovely bloke. Couldn't fault it to be fair, we all enjoyed a few hours in The Anglers!.

I visited on 3 seperate occasions, twice for food and once for drinks as it was 2 minutes from our campsite. The gammon was lovely, chips were gorgeous - crunchy on the outside but fluffy on the inside. I also got 'chicken in a basket' and my god the chicken was cooked perfectly, so juicy! The staff were lovely and so down to earth, made our visit a really fun one! Will 100% be coming back :)

Stayed at the Kielder campsite yesterday and just had to visit the pub as it was so close by. We had food and drinks and went back later in the evening to a cracking atmosphere and bar full of friendly like minded visitors. It's a dog friendly pub which is great for us, has a jukebox, pool table, decent selection of food, beers and single malts so heaven for me. Chatting to the owner who has recently taken over reveals he has further plans for improving the decor, furniture, layout, etc which is good to hear and we look forward to returning again when next in the area.

We popped in on the off chance that they'd still be doing food and we were greeted by a friendly atmosphere, a great welcome for us and our dog! Service was fast, food was good, great selection of local drinks to try as well. The owner was so accommodating, even letting us stay overnight in the car park with our campervan - he couldn't do enough to help us, we had such a great time here and we'll be back.

Love this place. Granted I've only visited when I visit Kielder for camping or a bike ride. But always has lovely food here and nice coffee. Lovely staff, always have a little chat. Even though its used by all that visit, everyone feels local 😊

This pub has changed hands twice since the pandemic. The current landlord has really turned it round. The atmosphere and service are back to the excellent standard that they used to be years ago. The food is also excellent with a very high standard of presentation and quality. The meals are also large enough to satisfy a good appetite.

Been to Anglers' Arms a few times. Great improvement since new ownership. Friendly staff, with great plans for the future, and cracking food. Wife had fish and chips, I had sausage ring. PROPER CHIPS!!! Welcomed our dogs in, so that's a bonus, for day visitors or for campers at Kielder Campsite. See you next time.

Food: Very nice and fresh ingredients, the panini was good, served with salad and lightly salted nacho crisps. I think coleslaw should be added to that dish and an option to have chips instead of the nacho crisps. Service: Friendly staff, though possibly understaffed during lunch times? No one was at the bar when a few couples came in and a second person wasn't at the bar when another member of staff was having their lunch... hope they got paid during their lunch break! Atmosphere: Could do with a spruce up to make the atmosphere better. Needs to be brighter and the furniture needs changed as it makes the place look old (the homely aesthetic isn't there to be able to use that type of furniture). Also, when the first thing you see when walking in is a gambling machine, it screams dive bar... I'd suggest relocating it. Also, more signage is needed for the Car Park as it was a bit unclear at first. Dogs Allowed

Having visited a couple of years ago can say the pub food has much improved. Wasn't a great fan of their own special brews this visit, but they did have some other better ale on tap. Reasonably priced. Friendly landlord, a younger barman was a bit arrogant though. Only place for decent WiFi for miles. Godsend for those camping at Kielder Campsite with kids addicted to their devices.

Visited twice during a trip to kielder Village this week. First visit was just a quick drink but saw the food menu and dishes being served and had to go back. Staff were very welcoming, service was quick and food whilst basic honest pub grub, was delicious, good quality ingredients, presented very nicely and cooked to perfection. Place needs a bit of a refurbish but please don't be put off by this. Everything else was perfect.

Great to see a pub being taken over and rising from the ashes! Delicious food, lovely staff and dog friendly. Very old decor which is next on their list to update, but didn't matter as we had such a lovely time.

Pizzas were lovely, staff were attentive and polite. The owner Malcom took time to speak with us despite it being quite busy. Will definitely be back up that way soon
