It’s Greens King pub/restaurant with very high standards. The food was very good, it could do with a little fill-up on the plate, A standard salad or a few more chips, perhaps a bit of coleslaw. Don't get me wrong it was a good portion. Just the plates are big and as you look down on it, it just feels a little empty. 🌟🌟🌟🌟 I had burger chips and onion rings. The meal was very tasty and filled me right up. No problems with the quality of the food or cooking.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Other than that beer was excellent.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Food was well above the standard of a pub meal. Staff were really helpful, polite, attentive and quick with orders. All in all it prompted a return visit later in the week. In the area drop in and enjoy. Highly recommend.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I booked a table of 6 online for fathers day. (Website was easy to use). It was a set 3 course menu for Β£28, which was great value for money!! One member of our family is a fussy eater and only wanted 2 side orders, the staff were very accommodating. The waitress we had was very friendly and the food came out very quick. I would definitely recommend :)

My first time here, but my partner used to come here as child. There is a nice outdoor seating area/bear garden. The pub itself is nicely done out. The staff welcomed us, and lead us to our table. We ordered 2 sirloin steaks well done with a side of onion rings and drinks. The total cost was Β£53 which is about the going rate. We were both satisfied, with our meals. I'm giving a 5 star review because I couldn't fault anything.

We went to this restaurant twice for dinner, on both occasions we were met by friendly, helpful, professional and attentive staff. The bar staff were also excellent, the beer was well kept and refreshing, the range of Bourbon and Whisky was very good. There was a nice buzzy atmosphere with all ages from toddlers to an older generation of customers enjoying themselves. The food was well cooked, well presented and really tasty, the deserts were good and the coffee was nice and strong. Toilets were fresh and clean, and there was good car parking. This area has plenty of Pub / Restaurants but this one is worth a visit if you are in the area.

I've been here several times lately for the Sea Food Grill: sea bass, salmon and tiger prawns, cooked to perfection at Β£17.99 it's worth a try, the sweet menu is also very tempting. The staff are very friendly, I love it.

Lovely refit and freindly staff, the beer selection was good. Only negative was the serving time for food finished at 8 on the dot which we managed but had we been a minute later we were informed it would have been a firm no to food! This is early I understand 8.30 or 9 but it would influence me in the future to drop in or not for dinner. Otherwise I would recommend this pub, just don't be late!! Food was tasty, pie was a good size too.

After work dinner. We were quickly seated and Chloe served us throughout the evening. Chloe was able to give us recommendations on what to eat- the food was delicious, the Garlic Bread Loaf in particular. Chloe was attentive and bubbly. We left with a smile and will definitely be returning to such a warm country pub.

Lovely restaurant with a warm welcome and good food. My Gammon dish was epic, but my partner had the battered halloumi ciabatta, which was a little greasy and just too rich. Would definitely come back.

Have eaten here several times but this was the first time for Sunday lunch. Very impressed by the service provided by Vickie who was both friendly and efficient. Having ordered the turkey roast I was surprised and disappointed by the pigs in blankets which accompanied the main meal. Rather than small chipolatas covered in bacon I was presented with full size sausages covered in over-done bacon. Apart from that the rest of the 3-course meal was very good and presented in a timely fashion.

Visited on a Friday evening for an early dinner with our 2 year old - we were seated in an area with other families which was appreciated, knowing that kids can be disruptive sometimes. I had the slow cooked venison special, my husband had a rump steak and my toddler had the kids max and cheese, all of which was very tasty, followed by desserts and coffee - the coffee was a little burnt, and there were no non-dairy milk alternatives, which would be my only negative. The service was lovely and welcoming, and the pub itself is very cosy and friendly. Definitely recommended!

Went there during a break with my partner and was served by Dan. Proper helpful and made the experience lovely. We accidentally arrived just before the kitchen closed and we weren’t pressured and gleefully enjoyed our meal and drinks. Would recommend a visit.

Had a lovely meal at the Mare & Colt this evening and can recommend the gammon with rum and cola glaze and the wife doesnt do puddings but demolished the mini brownie. Our server, Millie, is friendly and helpful and had a great sense of humour. Happy to recommend.
