Decided to have a quick pub lunch. Great old fashioned pub 😄 great cobs and a good selection of ales cider and lager. Staff was very pleasant and helpful.
What an absolute gem! £3 a cob, piles of salad. I had the beef which included some beautiful beef dripping. Great selection of beers, snacks, and even condiments. Great beer garden. The perfect stop off
Excellent line up of beers and cobs still as good. Two thick slices of brisket in a very fresh cob with ample salad as always. As my companion from Scotland would say 'Marvellous '!
Absolute gem of a place, huge amount of seating outside and all under cover. There are also some heaters to help keep you warm. Sandwiches (cobs) are superb value. Only cheese, beef, or ham but amazing as they are very generous with filling, and the side salad is a meal in itself. Parking can be tri
What a great little pub Dog friendly Heated outdoor space Cob platters really fresh with loads of salad and sauces generously filled cobs Friendly staff Definitely recommend a visit
Went here Sunday afternoon 27th Aug and it was great, as usual. Cobs with great chunks of Beef, Cheese or Ham with rough cut Salad . Served super quick with great selection of drinks to wash it all down. Plenty of seating outside and a canal nearby to walk it all off. Quality place
First time iv been here.. came for a wake.. but have heard about the cobs... absolutely amazing... great value.. staff are brilliant.. lovely country pub.. smallish inside but customers are all friendly.. an the out side it massive.. great job guys defo come back
The way Pubs used to be, basic but superb simple cobb food menu served until late, well kept beers and wine, cash ONLY but handy cash machine in bar. Friendly service both behind and outside the bar, tables cleared promptly. Don't miss it, highly recommended!
Fantastic place for a pint and a cob! Plenty of outdoor seating - some under cover and some not. There are also some with heaters. However, you may also turn up and still not be able to get a seat. This is a reflection of just how busy it can be but of how great the place is too. Dogs welcome 🙂 No c
Lovely village pub, with possibly the finest cobs (beef, cheese or ham) in the known world, served with copious salad. Gets busy of a lunchtime, and with good reason! Not the largest selection of ales but what there is is well kept and very quaffable. Well worth a visit, but remember they don't do c
