We called in with my mum on her 91st birthday.
Couldn't fault the meals we had, fish was gorgeous and my husband said his Gammon was too. Very reasonably priced as well. This is the third time we've visited and will definitely be back soon.
Popped in on Saturday with my chap. Food was good although my food was on the luke warm side which slightly let the meal down.
But had a nice surprise yesterday when we got a phone call to say we had won a bottle of Prosecco after buying some charity raffle tickets just before our food came out. Overall staff were friendly and attentive.
Enjoyed a birthday meal with hubby and eldest son. Lovely staff, great service,lovely food. Really enjoyed the sticky toffee bourbon pudding š® certainly packed a punch.
Great visit this evening, family tea with 6 year old children. Lovely pub, great for kids with āgrown upā areas too. Stacey was superb, couldnāt do enough for us from the start. Thanks for the smarties Stacey; you made their evening!
Great British pub experience. Well priced food. Not the crazy high prices some are charging for standard pub grub. Child friendly. Good children's menu. Staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. Fast and tasty.

The food here is really good and so are the prices. Had the Lamb curry special for 6.99 on a Wednesday and it was as good as any I've had at Indian restaurants in Australia. My son is celiac and had the New Yorker gluten free for the 2nd time and said it was great.
This was the 2nd time we have been here. The tables were very sticky and the menus really dirty. This is a pet hate of my wife and mine as we are both ex restaurant managers, and we did contemplate leaving without ordering. However..... We are glad we didn't. The staff were all friendly and attentive and the food was absolutely stunning!! We both really enjoyed our meals.... And for a two course meal worked out very cheap. So despite the stickiness, we will definitely return.... We were really blown away just how good the food was.... So thank you!
We went here for the very first time as a family. We was very impressed of how the food was beautifully cooked and very good quality food ;and the service was amazing ,brilliant value for money The staff were very friendly. We hope to come back again

Jack, Stacey, Vinny and Jason really pulled out all the stops to make sure our group of 15 from Keynsham Mencap had a great experience and got fed on time will smiles all round!
Our social club takes adult members with learning disabilities on evenings out and we know that a night at the Talbot means a great experience for our group with good food at a great price.
Last night was exceptional though. It was so hot and extra busy, the kitchen was rammed with orders and here we were with limited time and 15 mouths to feed!
Jack was so patient with the order and even though there seemed no hope that the kitchen would be able to deliver on time Vinny and Jason absolutely smashed it with Stacey bringing the meals out in record time.
Service with a smile and Stacey went the extra mile to ensure everyone was happy.
Taking extra time with someone with extreme anxiety when itās hot, busy and stressful for yourself is a mark of excellent customer service.
We appreciate youā¦ and weāll see you next week with our other group š
Really nice food as always. You get so much for what you pay, and the taste is incredible. The main menu options are brilliant, but limited choice for puddings, but still some good options. The staff were very nice too.

Couldnāt believe how tasty the food was!! Had chicken tikka and beef lasagna for just Ā£11.99 for both. Amazing value. Stacey served us and we had lovely friendly service from her. She is an asset to the company.The chap behind the bar was friendly too. X
Had a birthday meal, honestly the reception was great. Got the cake in the fridge while waiting for the meal and got every one singing happy birthday. Food came out right and hot. Great job šš½
