Tried the new chef's roast yesterday - one of the best I've had in a long time, and the bar staff was lovely and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Stopped in for a quick pint, Birra Moretti was tasty, had some of their home made chips and they gave me a free bowl of beef chilli to go with them, service was fast, chips were nice and hot, couldn’t ask for more, it’s great what they’ve done with the place, nice chilled atmosphere.

Stayed here for one night on the 28th December. The twin-bedded room, and ensuite shower were spotlessly clean, as were the towels and bedding. The staff and locals are very friendly, there was live music when I stayed there, which was very good and I will definitely be going back.

Under new management now .Has had a good clean up and will soon be decorated .Nice old local pub dating back to the 1700s .Good selection of beers with a guest ale being added .it has a great friendly atmosphere and new landlord is opening the kitchen soon with good locally sourced food .So deserves
