Nice village pub, with real ales. Very accommodating when several of us turned up after a walk. Handy for the river Nene, for walkers and those passing nearby on bikes or boats.

A new favourite place, we were proper out of towners, everyone stopped and looked when we went in but within minutes was made more welcome than roll of chilled loo roll after a vindaloo! Don't get many proper local pubs anymore!

Tables out the front and back. This pub is very close to the Stanwick lakes track and a good location for pub walk. Has a great selection of drinks, some beers and ales you won't get anywhere else nearby.

Very nice 'proper ' pub. Only used the bar at the front of the pub which had nice basic furnishings and a lovely fire going. Tried 2 of the real ales on the handpumps. Both very good.

A great community pub, the hub of Denford village. Jayme, the manager has done a great job bringing in a steady and varied custom. He has recently added a fantastic collection of traditional vintage pub games. There is an unofficial mooring just upstream from Denford lock and it's a short walk up to this lovely pub. There are usually 5 real ales on. But, apart from bar snacks, there's no food served, although occasionally, Nicky parks her Urban Street Food ex-army truck which serves fabulous curries.

A proper pub that makes no excuses for what it is - a village local that does not serve food. What it lacks in dining, it more than makes up for in character in the form of the Aussie landlord.

We called in to this small inn towards the end of a walk on a warm day. A friendly welcome and choice of three good real ales sustained us on our way. Thank you.
