Out for a beautiful walk Titchmarsh, Sudborough, Lowick, Islip. Stopped for a welcome pint locally brewed beer ( Oundle) at the Rose and Crown, Islip . We were made very welcome by the friendly staff and sat in their peaceful garden - they double up as Village Grocer too - the heart of the community
Called in for Coffee & cake - all was perfect.

A lovely, quiet pub/restaurant/tea shop. The lady who owns this lovely place advised me a week or so after new year that it is permanently closed. Love this friendly village pub. So much atmosphere, beer is amazing and now they do awesome food too! I feel welcome with my children, with my dog and even on my own! Highly recommend.
