Our parents have been going for 10 years at least twice a year. Great food, fantastic location and the staff are excellent. Special mention to Jane and Jamie the couple who run the place - they will do anything to make your stay perfect. Can't recommend this place enough. Can't wait to visit again!

Visited the Leathes Head over the Easter bank holiday and was throughly impressed. The hotel is in a truly beautiful location and makes a great base for exploring. The hotel was excellent and a wonderful place to relax. The restaurant was superb but the friendly staff really made the experience. This is the first hotel I have stayed in for a while that I have genuinely wanted to re-book. Hoping to visit again soon!

We stayed here for a couple of nights for our 20th wedding anniversary. Everything about our stay was pretty much perfect. We were well looked after, the food was gorgeous, the hotel and it's surroundings are beautiful, everything we could have hoped for. The hotel is perfectly located for a hike around Derwentwater which we did (11 miles) and Keswick about 4.5 miles hike. Highly recommend a stay here.

We recently had a lovely 2 night stay The Leathes Head! It rained most of the time! So a book in front of a log fire in very comfortable surroundings was a hIt. It is a very small hotel with a relaxing atmosphere. Great attention to detail with fantastic food and lovely, friendly staff.

Stayed for a romantic weekend for our anniversary. The food for breakfast and dinner, the room and service was excellent. I couldn't fault it and I would recommend staying at the hotel and/or eating in the restaurant for dinner. We will be coming back. As we want to walk Great Gables, the peaks around Buttermere and Catbells. As the weather stop us this time.

What a lovely hotel! Right in the middle of the Borrowdale Valley, and nestled in beneath Grange Fell The Leathes Head is ideally situated for much outdoor fun. Prices are good, showers are hot, the welcome is friendly and most importantly the food is excellent! While not Michelin starred, they are Michelin recommended and to be fair the experience is as good as many Michelin starred restaurants I've visited Highly recommended!

A hidden gem of the borrowdale valley. This was.a really relaxing retreat and the staff were amazing with so much attention to detail. Didn’t realize it was an adult only hotel when we booked but yes yes.yes. A great idea!!! Thoroughly enjoyed the fireplace at night and the massive claw foot bathtub was treat!!! We can’t wait to come back when the sun makes an appearance!!!!

Lovely setting.Hotel was very clean and well maintained. Staff welcoming and helpful, although I ordered breakfast on the app as requested but was brought a full English with a fried egg and a Vegan breakfast that was not ordered but did have the scrambled egg on which I did order. When I explained that I had ordered 2 Full breakfasts, I was then told that there is nothing we can do about it now and it was placed on the table.Hey ho. Pointer, if you are ordering the evening meal the app says you have 3 choices, but when you order your choice you are then told the only available one is the chefs choice for that day only and the sitting is 7pm only and no variations. Must say the food was very well presented and flavoursome. The rooms are sufficient for the price but to have 4 radiators on full heat in that size room was a bit excessive and uncomfortable unless you like that type of climate. Note, this is a very quiet hotel depending on what your preferences are. Jetty at Derwent water not far from Lordore falls .

We stayed at The Leathes Head Hotel in the middle of July and had 8 amazing days. The weather was pretty miserable and rained most days but it didn't stop us having a lovely time. The hotel is beautiful. The staff are amazing, friendly, helpful, experienced and knowledgeable not only about the hotel but the local area and mountains as well. The chef's are superb and the food they produce is fantastic. It is a very well run hotel and we loved our stay. Can't fault the accommodation, the hotel, the staff or the food. Fantastic!! 🌟🌟🌟

We booked here at last minute. The hotel is beautiful, set in lovely surroundings, with views to die for. Our room, no.1 is big ,and pretty. Everything clean. Very comfortable bed, with good pillows and duvets. We booked into the restaurant for the 5 course taster menu, which was fantastic., with a good bottle of wine. There was 9 people in for dinner we were all served at the same time. Our 2 hosts , explained what each course was ,everytime we were served. It was a wonderful night.. A bit expensive, but it was for our wedding anniversary, so it was worth it. Breakfast was good also ,served in a lovely summer room with fantastic views. Hopefully we will be back. , as Keswick is my favourite place, and we visit many times during the year, from Co.Durham, we're here within 2hrs.

We arrived on a wet March day to a lovely wash welcome and a log fire. The food was exceptional. We stayed 3 nights and got to enjoy each menu, beautifully prepared and presented. The location was excellent, quite enough to be totally peaceful and walking distance from Cats Bells, Keswick and other lovely walks. The show didn’t even spoil things. I would recommend this hotel for hospitality and great food.
