Curious little pub in a very tourist town. Good local ales (wainwright) and big food portions. Really quick food if you are on a tight timetable. Had the chicken and bacon club sandwich with fresh cooked chips. Enough for two people. Jim, the landlord, is such a nice fella really welcoming. Definitely would go back

We really enjoyed the visit. Ic and Flic noted this is a more affordable option compared to many of the local pubs and hotels. A very welcoming staff. Had a Wainwright Amber. Excellent. Large rear beer patio. Boss had a coffee plus a sherry trifle cheesecake. She loved it. More basic than many but that is a plus!

Good food, extremely fair pricing and big portions! Second time dining here as of recent. Generous portion sizes and really fair prices considering the area can be more on the expensive side. Really good grub, we got the Fish and Chips, Scampi, and started with the vegan nachos. They could do with a bit of vegan cheese as a point of improvement, and to have plenty of fish ordered in, as that's twice now there wasn't enough in house. I reccomend a visit, there is a kids menu but you have to request a verbal one as there wasn't a print put version just as a warning! Once again, good food and fair price.

Visited here the other week and it seems to have a new owner. Staff were friendly and polite. We ordered food which was really good for the price. I had the gammon and my partner the mixed grill, at the time they had a promotion on so we got 30% off the price of the food. The food was excellent for the price. It's a dog friendly place with treats for the dog at the bar that were free. The food is what you'd get at a pub in Carlisle for example at a very reasonable price considering its Keswick and very pricey if you eat elsewhere in Keswick. Its a lovely pub and the owner took the time to have a chat with us. I gave some feedback concerning the lattes that we ordered because they came in a cup rather than a mug so I found the coffee a little pricey for a cup and would of expected a mug of coffee. My partner and I visit Keswick quite frequently and will make this place a must have place to eat considering the very reasonable price and friendly staff. Great little pub with plenty of seating outside for when the weather gets warmer. See you soon. 👍

First visit here. Lovely old style pub, no pretentions. Pint of Wainwright Amber was spot on. Had steak and chips. The chips were delicious. The steak a little disappointing. Was it cooked in an air fryer? Just didn't have that lovely grilled/fried flavour, and looked fairly unappetising on the plate, quite grey looking. Very friendly service, would definitely go back. Get the steak right and it would be 5 stars😉

A Keswickwian institution, best known for its long, covered, beer garden out the back it has recently been taken over by a friendly and genuine landlord. Had a superb rump steak for a great price; good selection of cask beers - when they don’t run out due to popularity! Good selection of on tap beers and IPA also nonAlcoholics spotted in the fridge. If you want a proper pub in the Lake District but joy pay through the nose for it check out Oddfellows. You won’t be disappointed.

Always good to call into the Oddfellows when I’m in Keswick each month. The atmosphere is spot on and it’s a nice place to come to for a pint after a day in the mountains. The staff are great and attentive and most of all, they pull a great pint. Highly recommended when you are in Keswick.
