Have been a few times now. The last time it was rammed and the staff was rushed off their feet. All the staff was still smiley and friendly and Teresa still made time for everyone she served and found seats for those waiting longest or disabled. Will defiantly return and the goat cheese panini was yum .
Great food great staff and a great Location, some of the best coffee around here. Just right for after a long ride or walk or a day trail building. Ok the get busy so what just be chilled, OK the do get closed by high winds or water pressure dropping nothing the Ridge cafe can do. Car park being extended and at 9p a day if you have a parking pass enjoy the place.
Lovely little cafe that served gluten free/ vegetarian options.. Thank you so much, you made me very happy It's usually very difficult eating out but the staff were very helpful answering questions about how the food was prepared and didn't make me feel like a complete nuisance. The food was delicious! Thank you!
Have been lots of times with friends and my children. Lovely clean place, very friendly and accommodating staff. Delicious food. Extremely helpful front of house, especially the older lady, nothing is ever too much trouble! Will be back again and again!!
A great cafe in the woods!
I go most weekends and have never been disappointed with the food or customer service. The cafe has its peak times like any other and the team of young adults who work there do a great job when having to deal with a high demand.
Very friendly service and the food is delicious!!
Great cafe :)!! My mother and I love the atmosphere of the cafe and the location. The food is fantastic and I love the staff there very well trained!
All good friendly staff, nice menu, lovely food. Thank you.
Lovely cafe at Haldon forest. Plenty of indoor and outdoor sitting. Friendly staff. Good selection of vegetarian options. Overall good quality food. Reasonable prices too.
Have to leave a review because we were so impressed with the service, food and staff at the Ridge cafe today. Being a bank holiday, it was very busy. The queue was out of the door but only took 10 mins to clear! Staff were friendly, food was served within 10 mins of ordering and the food was delicious. You don’t often get such efficiency these days but the whole team were ace well done 👍
Amazing sourdough hot wrap containing halloumi, spinach etc, other options were available. My husband had the small 5 bean chilli and wedges, more than enough. We were able to take our dog in too.
Popular cafe in the forest. Seating outside or under the cover. Play park by its side and used extensively by locals visiting the forest. We had a good experience and noted that staff wandered about anxiously looking for food order, orderers whom wandered off after ordering food. The food was excellent and well presented, not to mention good portion sizes. Car park close by and worth a visit.
Lovely coffee but coeliac's please beware. They do gluten free brownie which is pretty good but it is resting against vegan flapjack that is not gluten free to there are contamination issues.
Only got a cake and a fruit tea this time, but have eaten here previously. Always busy here, but service is quick and food is fresh.
Can be busy and loud with kids :(.
But overall we normally have the soup with baguette and are not disappointed.
Shame the menu was reduced/slimmed down last year though.
The food is always excellent. the cakes are amazing and the coffee is good. We stop here every time we come to haldon the only downfall is that it can get very busy and the ques get long. But the cakes are excellent. Oh and don't for the cakes they are really good.
Pretty good place to go for food. Good choice. Nicely made and even some reasonably decent gluten-free options. Little bit pricey but that seems to be happening everywhere.
There was a varied menu for a lunch after a trail walk. The soup and cheese scone was delicious and the kids box was enjoyed by my grandson. Very friendly staff and food was promptly delivered. Inside and covered seating are available
Nice environment, but although the food is pretty good it's very expensive
Friendly and helpful staff in a very convenient café in Haldon Forest. For lunch, they have salads, burgers, wraps, jacket potatoes, soup, and more. For afternoon tea they iffee cakes, scones and biscuits. The food is no-nonsense café food. My homemade scotch egg salad with chutney and coleslaw was tasty, though with slightly too much dressing. My companion's quiche was fine but slightly rubbery through overheating. The coffee is strong! There's a lovely wooden structure outside that provides shade and protection over wooden picnic tables.
Nice choice of light bites, also tea, coffee, soft drinks & ice-cream.
