After visiting the pub many times thought it was about time to write a review. The staff are always very friendly and happy to help. I tried the steak diane from the new menu on this occassion at the seven stars. The presention of the food was very good nice and clean. The steak was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The diane sauce was to die for such a compliment to the steak. The hand cut fat chips were lovely nice and crisp on the out side while being fluffy in the middle. I also sampled the cream brulée for dessert which was amazing. Nice crisp top while having a silky smooth custard underneath. I would highly recomend the seven stars to anyone who is passng for a great meal and friendly staff.
We were staying at Finlake for the weekend and searched for the best place to eat nearby. The Seven stars came up and I have to agree it was definitely the best place. Great food, first class service and surroundings. We could have spent all day in the courtyard. I wish we had a place like this close to us.
This has become my only local and I have to say it has the best welcome always friendly and a happy place to be , enjoy the warmth from the open fires , playing games with family and friends or darts or pool, lovely garden where you can sit and eat food , and well the food is second to none I cannot fault the food truly amazing whether your eating the homemade pizza or from the menu its superb, often has live music quiz nights open mic's a football team and darts and pool team it really is a winner
This fabulous pub really has become the heart of the village of Kennford. Always giving a warm welcome to new as well as regular customers.
It has it all, with regular live music, scrummy food, fine wines and various beers to take your fancy.
As if that's not enough, the Stars has a games room with pool table too.
So if your looking for a new pub to try, then give the Seven stars, Kennford a try.
You won't be disappointed.
As I have said before we are so lucky to have this fantastic pub on our doorstep. It's not just a pub it also brings together a great village community and the staff make everyone welcome. Oh and the food is amazing!! loved the fine dining event
Fantastic pub, we visited while on holiday with the kids and the Dog. Great vegetarian options, friendly locals, service was excellent and very dog friendly. All round great value family friendly pub. We will back.
We ate here on a busy Friday evening. The food was good and the service was excellent. The atmosphere in the pub was fantastic
Great place to eat exactly food and service and staff can't do enough for you always go there when we're down that way
We visit this Pub on a regular weekly basis after Bellringing practice at Kenn. The Landlord is very friendly and helpful. The prices are really competitive and there is an excellent choice of Ales, Cider and spirits.

Dropped in on the way back from Ivybridge. A gem of a find. Really friendly hosts, amazing food and beer. Lovely welcoming atmosphere. Wish we could have stayed longer. Nothing was too much trouble and even the music was to our taste. May come back and book a room next time .
Excellent pub with very well kept Ale. Very welcoming.
Great friendly local. Food good. Our last visit was nearly spoiled due to noisy kids running around luckily it was warm enough to retreat to the garden
Overall was enjoyable. We were seated by the bar (not by choice) and so was a bit noisy, service was a little slow. They had a large group in on the Sunday so they were quite busy, so won't be overly negative about it... it is a village pub after all. Food was good and staff were polite and friendly. Would recommend and will be going back.
Had a great night there on Wednesday. We were staying at the Exeter Court Hotel up the road but wanted a pub evening after a day racing at Exeter. Delicious shepherds pie and the landlord drove us back to the hotel at the end of the night. What more could you want.
Fantastic pub. Was saying 50 yrs from door. On girls weekend from Lanson and Portishead. Had food both nights. Great food and good value. Landlord and staff made us feel so welcome. Locals were also lovely. Will definitely be back soon.
Beautiful food and such friendly staff 😊
What a find! For a pub in a relatively small village this exceeded our expectations. The ale that's brewed for them on Dartmoor was very good, there was a good selection of food options and the portions (especially the children's meals) were generous. Worth missing the Exeter motorway services if its opening hours and your route takes you to the A38.
A great pub. Would recommend 100%great food and host. Friendly people.
Good local, pizza's are very good. Would recommend them. They now have a menu so far tried loaded chips, curry and scampy. All very good and reasonably priced. Enjoy coming here
Had a really nice meal with my partner there, really good atmosphere with a few four legged friends at fhe bar to all having a good sniff and wagg at each other, (dont worry they wernt drinking lol, well only WATER not the hard stuff lol😂😂) served by a young and older chap , BOTH REALLY nice people, really good food and lovely relaxed decour in the pub,, a REALLY good country pub,, with lots of people enjoying themselves over a pint or three of good beers,, well worth a drive out there to sample something a bit different then other pubs. Loved it will certainly return to sample a few more beers with a comprehensive menu.
We went for lunch on new years day and it was very quiet which is surprising as the food was lovely! I had chilli served in a tortilla bowl, lots of chunky veg and full of flavour and my partner had a pulled venison pie which was also very tasty.
I had crumble for desert which was the perfect level or tart and sweet.
The staff were friendly and welcoming and it had a cozy in feel. All together a very pleasant meal
Absolute gem of a local pub. Warm welcome, helpful service and absolutely outstanding food. A friend recommended this place and said that whatever the menu says, when the food arrives you’ll be impressed by the care, detail and finishing touches that are added and he was absolutely right. Little details like a pickled vegetable garnish with a main meal or the ice cream coming with white and chocolate soil elevated each dish. I’ll visit again next time I’m in this part of the country.
what a wonderful experience we have just had here.
the garden was delightful and has been completed tastefully.
food was exceptionally good. proper gastric pub. very good value for money.
