Virgins And Castle - Kenilworth - Photo album

Went for Sunday lunch as a small group, we all had the slow roasted pork belly which was absolutely divine! Came with roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, carrots and leek & cabbage. We ordered a portion of cauliflower cheese, parsnips, stuffing and pigs in blankets to go alongside the usual trimmings
Loved the history of this pub! The atmosphere inside and outside the pub was very welcoming. Drinks were perfect and very dog friendly.
Brilliant pub in old Kenilworth over 500 years old and an amazing find. Excellent cask beer, lovely Prosecco and great prices and when we arrived we surprised to find a mini beer festival event. All the staff were lovely as were the very friendly locals who welcome both my fiancé and I but also my
It is the oldest public house in Kenilworth. Has that relaxed oldie worldie feel about it.
Fun quiz on a Tuesday night with a good balance of pop culture and general knowledge. The staff were attentive and friendly, a solid lineup of beers and good food. We've already booked our table for next week.
Had a batch of sandwiches for lunch plus a half pint of Sunchaser which was very refreshing. Staff very friendly, especially the lad behind the bar serving us the drinks! Visited after looking around Kenilworth Castle. Highly recommend the pub. It's very spacious inside
Excellent pub, very interesting variety of different rooms and areas to sit or mingle. Great beers and cocktail menu. Wish I'd eaten there, the food looked and smelled amazing. Added a photo of 1 of the smaller rooms, was bright and cool in the summer with an open window looking out onto the street.
Excellent Sunday lunch, super sharing plates, great atmosphere, attentive staff... just one thing steak knives needed, not butter knives for the beef! Us ladies don't like to make the table shake when trying to cut very thick beef! Recommended, steeped in history....thanks
My colleague hosted his birthday party in this pub. It’s located in a beautiful area. Food was toothsome and delicious.
Lovely old pub. Popped in for one to enjoy the surroundings on the Monday as staying in Kenilworth for a graduation. Saw the quiz night on Tuesday so came back the following evening. Had a great time and won the quiz! Great quiz - highly recommend.
Found this Pub through google maps, visiting from Canada, the staff was amazing to accommodated 12 of us on short notice. The Food was really really good, everyone of us 12 Love their Dish. Cool atmosphere as Pub dates back to 1563.
Best place I came to on my trip to Coventry, took a drive down to this very old pub and I was greeted with the most warm welcome ever. We were served by a lovely lady called Gwen, ever so hospitable and warm. The highlight of the day was the absolutely delicious food, we had the rump steak and a se
Established in 1563, this was the perfect pub for an inveterate Tudor history buff to investigate. Happily, it did not disappoint. I found it warm and friendly with a wide range of choices for drink and food. I especially enjoyed the “frickles,” which is my new favorite Queen’s English word. (Tudor
