Great place for a nice Sunday lunch. Menu was decent, interesting without being wacky, traditional without being cliched. Not cheap, but worth it. Relaxed atmosphere with Sunday papers to read. Friendly helpful staff. We loved it.

7 of us visited for my Dads 80th for Sunday dinner. As always the food was fabulous, great choices and beautifully cooked. I had asked if they would provide a baked Alaska pudding for my dad as it’s his favourite and boy did they come up with the goods. Beautiful pudding with a happy birthday decorated plate. Thank you SO much you gave us a fabulous end to a fabulous birthday weekend. Will be back really soon

Thank you to our server Scott and the team at The Almanack this evening. We celebrated our Dad's 70th Birthday and you made it a very personal and special occasion. Well done to the chefs - the steaks were amazing and we all agreed were cooked to perfection - the best we have had in many years! I would definitely recommend this as an excellent place to relax and enjoy life!!

We have seen the bar when passing through Kenilworth and thought that's all it was, with maybe some bar food, so called in one early evening after a trip down south. The restaurant was behind the bar and it was well laid out with views into the kitchen (often a good sign). The staff were all thoughtful and attentive. There was an excellent offer on wine. The waiter suggested we taste and if not happy at all it could go behind the bar. We were happy. There was an excellent specials menu, which we were given time to mull over. I had monkfish and scallops, with an Asian twist? Excellent. A very good choice which ended an excellent day! Thank you guys

A deli board, being the first thing which we ate, seems an obvious place to start. A collection of meats; some cooked, others sourced, designed to share and graze.  To feed with variety.  All this food leaves the question of where to start.  We do by draping slithers of air dried ham over of toast.  The ham thinly sliced and almost opaque, with ribbons of fat that dissolve on the tongue.  We move on to slices of rare roast beef that come alive with the liberal application of a tart pickle and piping hot croquettes which ooze with cheese and tangles of ham hock.  Thick cuts of brioche are filled with pulled chicken and drizzled with sriracha sauce that instantly becomes the best sub that Subway never made.  There are leaves for those that seek reassurance in their diet, but this is a protein heavy board with comfort and delight at every twist and turn.

Came for breakfast with my friend on Wednesday (we usually meet up once a month) we were served by Amy C and I have to say she is always the most friendliest, helpful and professional member on your team. Nothing is too much trouble and she always has a smile and a kind word for us! She’s an absolute credit to you and we always look forward to seeing her. Food was delicious as usual and super quick service as always from Amy C xx

The quality of the food is excellent! We also enjoyed the cocktails very much. It's interesting, has a wide range and some very unique. The service quality is very good however I reckon it's pretty understaffed. I only see two persons covering the big section of the restaurant I was in. It is very difficult to get their attention. When I came in and was waiting for a table to be assigned, it took about ten minutes before the waitress was able to served us. Actually, I was about to give up and walk away. But because I am an avid Google Guide and that this restaurant has a good rating, I decided wanted to wait and try out this restaurant. Turns out the food was truly excellent! I was happy at the end of the day.

Light and bright interior. Great beer selection. Food was really good. Had the crazy fish special with a seabass and a cod. All was very tasty. Staff were responsive and had a personality. Random golf trip, doubt I'll be back, but if I am then I'd happily go here again

Fantastic, great service, great food. I can not recommend this place enough. A very good selection of drink and food. Service was the very best I have had any where. Not over attentive. If you are in this neck of the woods then make sure you head here. Well done and thank you all very much.

First 🌟 place was clean and modern, took a walk in with pour réservation during the holiday period very nice of them because they are busy Second 🌟 they had plenty to choose from, I had the same Shepards 🥧 pie It was almost not edible way too salty for sure, waved to return it but couldn't be bother. The fear of the food was yummy. Some vegetarian entres. Third 🌟 nice wine and beer selection, I had mulled wine 🍷 my favorite during winter. Forth 🌟 staff were very nice, smiling and quick service. Didn't matter who you asked they were happy to accommodate, so I overlooked the Shepard pie. No fifth 🌟 as there is room for improvement. Its a nice place felt very at home and very christmassy

We came here on Saturday night, at 5pm, it was really busy, especially as there were some heavy downpours, and people were sheltering from the rain. The team were great and managed to fit us in for food, even though were were a party of 5, and they very kindly gave us a table that was good for my grandma whose mobility is limited. I had the chicken schnitzel, which was tasty. I had a mocktail (as was driving) which was made from passionfruit, almond and lime - that too was very nice. We didn’t have deserts as we were all full from our mains.

We had pre -booked for a party of 12, they had asked us to confirm our dinner choices from the Sunday menu in advance. I went for the Ham and Cheese Croquettes, Beef and Ale pie, finished off with the Apple and Blackberry crumble. No problem there, perfectly understandable that they'd want to know our meal choices so they can ensure they have those dishes available. Had a nice pint of Grolsch while we waited for everyone to arrive, then were seated pretty quickly. The starter was nice, and the beef and ale pie was really nice too. The crumble may have been nice, I don't know, because they didn't have any. If the point of getting people to preorder was for the Almanack team to ensure they have everything available, sadly they missed the mark on this one. I had the Cherry Bakewell tart, it was a little bit overcooked, it was nice, but it was definitely not an apple and blackberry crumble. At the end of dinner, the server was very patient while we split the bill 12 ways and all paid individually, and the staff overall were friendly, so top marks for that.

Great place to meet up and watch the traffic fly by the monument in Kenilworth (If you get the right window seat). Coffee is served with smarties and in a nice large cup ☕👍✔️

A huge Thank you to the Almanack Staff : A week ago , a courier had left an item for us ( not by arrangement ) at the Almanack . We had no idea the parcel was there until we enquired with the supplier . Almanack Staff kindly took the parcel in for us . We have just picked up our parcel & the Staff were very polite & helpful - a credit to the establishment. Thank you all for going above & beyond for neighbouring residents.

Very nice, friendly pub with great food. The only downside was not enough bread with the camembert starter. Two slices of sourdough are not enough. Other than that, I can't fault the place

Attended recently for a family birthday. The staff were really friendly and helpful although service was on the slow side of relaxed, considering we had pre ordered. The food was nice, with not much consideration could be great. Kids portion were small, a kids main Mac and cheese was smaller than an adults dessert. Some 9f the chicken schnitzel were well fried, becoming dry and tough.
