Bought Salt and Pepper Chicken w/chips, and my partner got Mushroom Fried Rice, and Veggie Rolls.
Very pleased with how crunchy and soft in the the middle the chips and chicken were. Very tasty, and went down a treat! Very moreish. My partner likes their meal as well.

Whilst staying the weekend in Kendal, we visited this take away after looking at the reviews online we chose this chinese. We were genuinely surprised at the food. The food was very nice and ideal for a takeaway. Food was hot and 1 meal, 3 sides and a sauce was plenty for 2 people. All tasted fresh

Some of the best Chinese takeaway food we'd ever eaten. Only in Kendal for 4 nights but the food was so good we went twice. The lady at the counter was friendly and very efficient. Loved it!

Absolutely wonderful set meal. Freshly-cooked, fresh ingredients, authentic flavours, great portions and a very reasonable price. The whole meal was great but the salt and pepper king prawns were to die for.

Great Chinese, very good value for money. The salt & pepper munchy box could easily feed 2-4 people by itself. The crispy chilli beef was also great. We got free prawn crackers and fortune cookies with our large £47 order.
Asked a mate which one was the best Chinese takeaway in Kendal - he said New Fortune. So I ordered. Picked up food within 10 mins of phone order. Food was delicious and good value for money. Customer service was great. Only issue is they don't do delivery but apart from that was really good.
Immense food, got the munchy box and should have just had that! Spicy but not too much, crispy shredded chilli beef was probably best I've ever had. Almost a jam consistency and so flavourful.

Great Chinese take away!! Portions are large, service was fast, food was fresh and tasty what more can you ask for? :). Just a FYI, its cash only.
Very picky about takeaways but New Fortune is easily the best Chinese we've had in years. Best in Kendal by a mile, so tasty and well cooked!
