The best fish and chips we have EVER had!!!! The fish was so light and crispy, then just fell apart, the chips were cooked to perfection and the gravy could have been drank on its own (it was sooo good!)
Service was fast and great communication coming from the staff :)

Ok, the food is spot, you all know that but the staff turn the 4 into a 5. Brilliant place and well worth the trip to fill ya belly. We travelled from Workington to eat here

Great chip's not greasy. The rest of the food was great. The staff worked like clockwork they were very efficient a very good team. Definitely recommend this chippy.

Really impressed, chips crispy and fresh, superb fish - as good as I've tasted in a long time with excellent batter. Topped off with homemade mushy peas. Fish not as big as many modern chippies - but size isn't everything...... Absolutely memorable!!
Popped in on a VERY busy night. Good service and very friendly. Had some nice chips and plenty of scraps!

This is a takeaway chip shop, not a sit down fine dining restaurant, but one of the best fish and chips I've had. Their service was prompt, fast, and friendly. The ingredients were fresh and the fish and chips tasted as light as fish and chips could taste. The Cumberland sausage was flavorful. Locals were coming in and out all the time and for good reason.
Not bad for a lunch time fish and chips. Bit disappointed that there was no cod on offer .. only haddock. Reasonable price (£6.90 for medium f+c plus can of fizz and a tartare sauce sachet). Chips were ever so slightly on the under-done side for my taste but still good for a tummy filler.

Having been seduced by the bright lights of Fryday's, it was nice to return to Kendal's finest, best value chippy 'Far Cross Chippy'.
Just had a well done fish & chips, can't remember having better anywhere, simply superb.....
This Chippy provides a well-cooked, tasty, meal, time-after-time, at reasonable prices. I used-to work nearby; and, now, when I have made a special detour towards this faithful chippy, as I finish my meal and the last morsel goes down, I find myself promising myself: "I really must come here more often." The quality and service is rock-solid.
