The food is otherworldly, absolutely gorgeous, the staff are fantastic and the surroundings are lovely. I would reccomend booking ahead as it can get rather busy. There's space upstairs for you to have a coffee/cocktail and cake while reading a library worth of books .
This was amazing the decor in this place is amazing and has a great warm atmosphere inside. All the staff were great, very friendly. The garlic bread was massive and delicious. I had the meatballs for main and they were great. The best part was the brownie it was perfect for me hard on the outside and a nice chew on the inside with great flavour.
Lovely food and really lovely staff. We were late because of traffic (coming up from London) and the restaurant held our table for three hours even though it wasn’t a quiet night! Thank you James :)
Great little restaurant, very cosy yet modern ! The staff were so attentive from the minute we walked in and they were all super friendly and chatty too. The food was absolutely amazing , the sweet potato fries were complete perfection and pasta was amazing too ! The prices were great too , I'm so glad we found it
Great food and great and speedy service the ribs starter was amazing and the garlic bread is full of flavour. Good portion sizes and would definitely recommend this place if you're visiting Kendal
Friendly staff and good food, owned by the previous owners of Romneys also in Kendal. Reasonably priced for what you get.
Lovely surroundings, not too close to others. Staff friendly, food beautiful and flavoursome, generous size portions. Only point that annoyed us a little is the table next to us complained all the time we were there, the length of time it took for their food to arrive, but they were busy, and when their food arrived it looked lovely, but the still moaned - aghh! Well I suppose there are always people like that. Definitely worth a try, will definitely be returning.
Fantastic! Despite us being a large party, a pretty full restaurant and all the associated chaos, the service, food and atmosphere was great.
The staff were calm, collected and very professional. All the usual glitches that anyone can encounter when serving a large party simultaneously, we're handled very proficiently.
If you're looking to book a party or simply a quiet meal for two in a great local restaurant then look no further!

We visited on Sunday evening and the place was quite busy. The staff quickly found us a table in a very comfortable restaurant with a modern theme and wood pizza oven in one corner. As it was Sunday we chose the lamb shank all to be honest it was really good quality and excellent value. Certainly when passing Kendal again we will call in
Been here three times before when in the area over the years. Although busy they managed to squeeze us in on a Saturday even though we didn't have a booking. Food was excellent yet again, staff friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back soon!
Had a 3 course meal here and the food was amazing. Probably the best Italian I have been to.
Also the staff were great, they are really polite and friendly. Definitely would recommend this restaurant to anyone
