One of the best Nero's I've been in in terms of the customer service. Staff friendly and helpful, and engaging. Coffee and food is standard Nero - far superior coffee to the huge vats served in other major chains.
I sit and work here for a bit of human contact most weeks and I've never had a bad visit.
It could do with an upgrade at some point but I love being feeling welcome and able to work in peace. And it's dog friendly if I need it.

- It is on Market Place / Branthwaite Brow. The google map tends to give wrong directions, so watch out for it. It might be easier to find Kendal War Memorial first and look around, you will be able to see it.
- It is tempting to cut through Westmorland shopping centre but it is not straightforward to find the way unless you are familiar with the shopping centre. It has a car park and the floor levels are not intuitive with the shops only on levels 2 and 5 where the level 2 means the ground floor and the level 5 means the first floor and so on. So, as mentioned above, the easiest would be to find Market Place / Kendal War Memorial / Branthwaite Brow.
This was my first Caffè Nero experience, and if they're all like this, then I'll be a regular visitor to them. The baristas provided service with a smile, and the coffee was great. Used my wife’s daily 2 meerkat codes and got 25% off which was a nice bonus. There is a seating area upstairs but I didn't see it, as I found a nice space downstairs to sit. There's a nice outside area too but it was a bit cold for that on the day I was there.
Starting to become very expensive..the decision to reintroduce in and out pricing is ridiculous and is already costing them custom. It is certainly less busy following the recent back to back increases. They are now noticeably dearer than Costa for smaller quantities in their drinks
I have been to Neros plenty of times & the food is gorgeous. They're very supportive staff. I have felt upset a couple of times whilst being there - they let me use their phone, and the staff have been so kind & amazing. kind people.
Pity the baristas seemed more concerned to chat with each other.

Great cafe, just steer clear on a Friday lunch time. My mum and friend have attempted it twice, on both a occasions couldn't as there is a couple that go that stink the area out

Friendly staff that are actually happy to see customers coming in. Went twice while visiting Kendal and both times spot on with both service and quality. Lovely chap even went as far as recommending Vegan products to my wife that's Vegan. Would go again next time we come up north!
Very helpful supportive staff led by Ruth and their snacks range is good. Premises looked after and kept clean by the staff. Decoration and furnishings would benefit from HQ investing in them. Staff done as much as they can.

So stopped here in the morning for a coffee and was greeted by really happy friendly staff. One especially Carl. Helped us out so much finding us things to do for our time away in Liverpool. Highly recommend this place. The coffee was boss!!
