We visited Jintana Ambelside last month and were blown away with the food and the service. A superb range of vegetarian options.
As we were in Kendal this week, we decided to Jintana Kendal a try.
Every bit as good - the best Thai food I've ever had - and excellent service.

best Thai meal I have had so far :) Sweetcorn fritters, green Thai curry and sorbet! Really delicious. And I like that they have non alcoholic cocktails, yummie!

Wonderful food, been to Thailand and must say flavours here are as good as in traditional Thai restaurant over there. Fresh ingredients, you feel good even after eating large quantities (which is hard to resist :) ) Good that my friend lives upstairs, will be dining there on my every visit to Lake District
Food is amazing. Fresh and just a nice kick of spice. Ribs were perfect as a starter. Would suggest you try.
I arrived with not much expectation. Left the place with my full tummy and a very full heart! The staff were so attentive and friendly we felt so welcomed. The food transported us back to Bangkok and their แกงป่า (Jungle curry) was so good and full of กระชาย. I was so impressed with their drunken noodles too 🔥 Highly recommended for everyone to try. We are Thai and we loved it!!!
Best Chicken Satay Starter I’ve had in ages.
We ate here a few days ago. We had the Satay to start which was delicious and I highly recommend it! I had the massamun curry and sticky rice, my companion had the ginger chicken stir fry. Both were delicious - though it is important you order one rice per person as the portions are not big enough to share. Some other reviews critique the service but we were very happy. (I suspect the critiques come from American guests - take note that it is not American style service and it is all the better for it! Left us alone for the most part but brought things quickly) Everything we ate was excellent. Would eat here again. 10/10 best Thai I’ve had in ages.
Delicious starters !!! Great red curry and pad Thai. Definitely need to work on better desserts 😞 Ice cream were absolutely horrible- tasteless unfortunately. Staff friendly but very slow.
I have been here before but didnt try too many meals. On this trip my Fiance and I tried a few dishes.
We had the satay mixed starter. This is a mixed platter and provided a great variety of dishes and flavours, I loved the chilli beef salad.
We then tried chicken sweet and sour, jungle chicken curry and Larb.
All of the dishes were very fresh
And packed with flavour.
The service was friendly but professional.
The service was good and the Thai duck red curry with jasmine rice was tasty and the sticky rice with mango and vanilla ice cream for dessert was great.
Came on New Years Eve and even though it was busy the service was lovely and atmosphere was welcoming. The waiters were working incredibly hard to ensure everyone was catered for. The food was delicious and would come back again, highly recommend.
Absolutely brilliant Thai food at this restaurant, we opted for the spicer dishes and Jitana did not disappoint.
Amazing food, such a friendly bunch of staff so , we made to the restaurant around 8:40 ISH and we were around 8 pupil, the staff have put. Table for us with in 10 mins or so, they made sure we were comfortable, the service was exceptional, food was amazingly good, tasty and each dishes plate presentation is also exceptional, the desert was out of the world has to order 2wice. If you are staying in Kendal or visiting Kendal so visit Jintana Thai . We had a pleasant experience thank you Jintana
