Alexander's - Kendal - Photo album

Nice little dining establishment. We had the soup of the day, and it was beautiful. As far as pub grub goes, this was perfect. My partner had the gammon, and I had the chicken and mash no complaints with neither choice. I was 56 quid for 2 well-made starters, 2 large and cooked perfectly dinners and
Every year 8 of us meet for lunch We all went to school together many moons ago. We started meeting when we all reached 50 we are now celebrating our 80th birthdays and we have tried numerous places for lunch . Last year we came to Alexander’s and enjoyed it so decided we would come again this year.
We pop in here for a drink from time to time and always like it. We decided to walk in and have a Sunday roast for a change and it didn’t disappoint. One beef roast and one pork and both were perfectly cooked and we both really enjoyed our meal. We even sat outside to finish our drinks as the sun ca
Stayed at the Castle Green on our weekend to the Lake District and the reception booked us in to Alexanders. We were very impressed with the experience. The staff are very friendly and the food was delicious. Especially the chocolate brownie! I hope we can visit again soon.
Amazing restaurant with great service and food to die for, with views like that to back it up what more can you ask for
We ate our main meal at Alexanders having driven through Friday afternoon traffic from the Midlands. The menu was interesting and our three course meals were excellent. The staff were helpful, pleasant and knowleagble.
Great service from the start the staff were very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was lovely. The food was great. The entertainment ( Amy Anderson Walmsley) made the evening with her fantastic voice.
Lovely meal with family here, shared 4 starters. Good value for money. Good service and beautiful views over kendal.
The atmosphere is delightful. Alexander's is quite unlike anywhere else I've eaten. Although a limited menu, it is excellently executed. Portions are generous and although prices may seem more expensive than your average pub grub at first glance of the menu, once served you won't be disappointed.
Food was fantastic, big portions reasonable price. Its a lovely setting for a family meal. There's a new head chef and he's done a fab job of updating the menu. I had the buttermilk chicken burger and fries. It was delicious, very hot, fresh cooked food. Can't fault it.
The food was nice, nothing amazing. Hearty portions.
I ate here, with two colleagues, twice recently. The first evening, my haddock was slightly disappointing - the batter was a bit stodgy for my taste, but my colleague's meals were excellent. The next evening I had salmon with new potatoes and veg and it was delcious. The staff friendly and attentive
We had a really nice meal at Alexanders tonight. Delicious food Friendly staff Enjoyed a couple of relaxing drinks after the meal Great evening
It is fantastic that there are a few vegan options which shows how they are changing with the times. The burger was delicious but the butternut squash dish was sloppy and looked more like thick soup, which was on its own with no rice; this was my only gripe, but hats off anyway for offering vegan!
Really good prices and tastes excellent !!!
