We just landed back in Glasgow from Zante, Greece and driving back to Wolverhampton. We decided to have a drive in The Lakes and stumbled across this beautiful place. The food was superb and if your a dessert lover...please order the Choclate Brownie! 😍 It's the best we've ever tasted. Atmosphere was great, bar staff friendly, service fast and quality...what more could you ask for. Will definitely drive all the way back from Wolverhampton to visit there again. It's worth it!

Beautiful dog friendly pub. The food was beautiful and service exceptional. Steak pie and fish platter were to die for and we even bought a selection of their fabulous ales from the brewery as gifts. Will certainly be back and hopefully spend a night there in one of their rooms! Brilliant

In the past few years have only called in for lunch on a Saturday when in the area so when I wanted somewhere to go for our anniversary I booked an overnight stay including our dog as its a dog friendly inn, the room was lovely not huge but plenty of room the beds are very comfy including TV tea making with the most supplies I've seen in rooms for a while. We had our evening meal in the restaurant & it was excellent with special mention of the Steak & Ale pie definitely the best I've had, overall 10/10 marks.

Arrived for late lunch at 2pm and was happy to be informed it does food all day. Welcoming staff who were also very good with our two dogs providing a water bowl and a generous amount of snacks. My wife and I both had hot sandwich and enjoyed them, I can recommend the minute steak. With the great choice of cask ales it was only the walk home that stopped me staying longer

Excellent in every respect! Good location just off the main A591, good atmospheric, friendly service and superb home cooked food. We ordered the small haddock and steak & ale pie, both of which came with chips and mushy peas and both looked and tasted great. I’d recommend this place highly.

This establishment offers home cooking like it should be, cosy and informal dog friendly little paradise hidden in the nooks and crannies of Ings. You could pass by and never know it was there, but once discovered you'll never want to leave.

Had a long weekend here with my wife and 3 dogs. Could not fault the place. Wonderful staff. Dave behind the bar is somewhat a character. Nice rooms but small. Tea and coffee making facilities available in room, great breakfast with continental and hot food options. Great filter coffee! We eat here a couple of times at night and were not disappointed. Great location to venture around the lakes. Well worth a visit. Back here again in December.

Wow! What a fabulous place. Beautiful location for walkers, cyclists, drivers, dog lovers.......anyone. Room was immaculate and very comfortable. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Sadly we didn't have an evening meal or beers due to our family arrangements. But, breakfast was plentiful and delicious. To top it all, we bought some of the beers (brewed on site 😋)to take away and try at home. We did a lovely little walk after breakfast in the nearby countryside which was worth doing as it's a beautiful part of the world.

Recently visited as a group of 9 and had a fantastic time. I had booked a table several weeks before and had great contact. We received a warm welcome and great service. All the group enjoyed their meals and we had puddings before the kitchen closed. All washed down with a selection of brilliant beers! I'll definitely be back!

One of my favourite pubs. Been here a few times over the years when my little legs could "Fell Walk". Sadly my old legs can no longer wslk past a pub so it is hard to walk 15+ miles a day with a pub every mile. Always been a great real ale pub. Boothroyd told me this is the home of the Windermere brewery so had a 4.1% Bit'er Ruff for £4.30. Lots of their real ale to chose from. You can stay here and eat here and hope to get snowed in for a week or two. Use the 555 bus from Windermere station. Hourly bus, about 5 minutes ride.

Trying to find a place for a nice family meal with easy access on a Monday evening in the area around Windermere is something of a challenge. We came upon the Watermill Inn by happy accident and enjoyed six lovely meals (inc two children's meals) and had great service. Despite it being a very wet rainy night, the place was busy, but it didn't feel crowded or noisy. The staff were helpful and very pleasant. Would definitely recommend.

Stopped off for a bite to eat as it came up as dog friendly. Not at all disappointed, dog welcomed, did not feel out of place, even provided treats and fuss. Food and drink were both top notch, highly recommend!

Great dog friendly pub with some great tasting ales. This is a proper nice dog friendly dog. There were more that tolerated but welcomed which is great. Lots of bowls of water available and biscuits on the bar. We will definately be back for another visit when passing. Also a great clean pub with character.
