Excellent little restaurant with great food and a wide choice, already planning my next visit to try more. Perfect mini desserts so you can have one of each!
Highly recommend.
I'm glad the tapas bar next door was shut for its Winter break. The food here was excellent. We only had the nibbles plate for starters but even the attention to that was evident with the salty roasted almonds and well marinated olives.
The main was outstanding though. A millefeuille pastry full of great vegetables: mushrooms, fennel, courgettes, shallots and artichokes. That was covered in a rich blue cheese sauce.
As for the cheesecake that wasn't there long enough for a picture 😜
Quality food, nice atmosphere and very reasonably priced too!
Thoroughly enjoyable meal with daughter and son in law at this restaurant last night. Sampled a good variety of food from their extensive menu and all were fabulous. My wife and I had the mixed paella which we struggled to get through - delicious. After feasting on starters and mains enjoyed their mini-deserts. Great place, good atmosphere and not expensive!
What an amazing little gem. Food and staff are wounderful, the cosy atmosphere really makes this place special. Would highly recommend this restaurant, we will be back soon.
Last minute booking and Wow!!!
Heard lots of good things so decided to try for ourselves... We had crusty bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar... My partner had buffalo mozzarella to start and daube of beef with green beans a creamed potato.. I had the crab toasts then onglet steak with fries and roasted vegetables... Too full for dessert and the house savignon blanc was very good
Top marks will definitely return
Food is amazing here and the staff are great. The menu changes regularly with interesting new dishes so you can keep going back.
Good selection of drinks and desserts, and the coffee is lovely too.
Lovely food and efficient but friendly service in a relaxed atmosphere.
We all had outstanding meals, with some of the freshest food ever. Delightful menu and excellent service. Just wish we stayed closer so we could visit often. Definitely one of my favourite meals ever!
Great menu , great service , perhaps a little cramped but only because it's so popular. A bit noisy too and as such it's not what I would call Autistic friendly hence 4 rather than 5 stars.
However the food is excellent and highly recommended. Booking in advance also recommended as it's very popular.
Booked in at short notice for early evening, advance booking recommended , we were lucky to get in, no downside omnivore and vegan options delicious, reasonably priced excellent service
We’ve been meaning to try Corner124 for a while as they had been recommended numerous times by friends. And boy it did not disappoint! Fabulous food, every dish was so delicious and fresh. The staff are wonderful and looked after us brilliantly. We’ll definitely be back!! Thank you for a fantastic evening.
Small but perfectly formed. My group of 6 visited on Wednesday evening and it was busy. There is plenty of choice on the menu but I can recommend the paella. The service was friendly and helpful for our gluten free and vegetarian members. We were staying at the Premier Inn and it’s location couldn’t have been closer.
Very nice restaurant with excellent food and a good drink selection. I had the Tolouse sausage cassoulet followed by their raspberry meringue mess with local dairy ice cream both of which were supper. The staff were both pleasant and attentive. I would heartily recommend this place if you're in Kendal. Reservations on busier nights would be advisable.
First time here and we had a lovely evening. Food was excellent
Really nice place and food, visiting the Lake District book in advance place gets busy 😘
Atmosphere is very relaxed and informal. Has a very bohemian feel. Can see myself stopping by just as easily for a drink and a snack or a full meal.
On our visit we shared a starter and a veggie paella.
The food was superb as was the service.
We were notified of any expected delays with our food so are expectations were fully managed. At the same time staff were always very friendly. Some of the friendliest service and staff I’ve encountered.
The paella was lovely and definitely needs to be shared between two. The first bite left the wife feeling that paella needed salt (everything always needs more salt) but after a couple more she had changed her mind.
My only regret was visiting at the end of a 2 week stint of restaurant visits! This meant I felt full before I even sat down!
Would return again to enjoy the food and atmosphere.
I recommend both the establishment and the paella.
Cute little restaurant, good menu choices, decent food, gorgeous sherry but top marks given for the service, definitely worth the 5 stars, so friendly & helpful, handled serving a party of 12 pretty easily, with no push at all for a service charge / tip (which of course we gave). This little place doesn’t look much from the outside, but we had a really lovely evening. Thanks corner 124
