Best fish and chips I've ever had (and I've had alot). Perfect fish. Crispy batter throughout and perfect fish no bones at all. Spot on chips which were crispy on the outside and fluffy potato on the inside. Cant fault that meal at all! Waiter fella was really nice as well. Good ambience for a late

Great service in pleasant room. The menu was simplified due to covid, but the food was really well prepared. Great fresh quality ingredients and good wine list. As we stayed overnight, I can recommend the breakfast. Brilliant sausages and black pudding.

We stayed in the hotel so only had breakfast in the restaurant. A good selection of food but had to ask for more butter every morning. I recommend the porridge. My husband and I decided to treat ourselves to some fine dining to celebrate our wedding anniversary. And what a treat it was. We both chose the taster menu. Me with the selected wine with each dish. Each dish was beautifully presented, and the taste, WoW. Every thing was fresh, cooked to perfection

We booked an afternoon within the hotel and really enjoyed the selection of sandwiches, freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam. Given the restaurant is situated on a hill it provides great views of the area.

I think the views and ambience within the restaurant alone warrant a 5*. Due to covid-19 the menu was limited so we couldn't get pizza or fish fingers for the kids but the Cumberland sausages and chips went down a treat with the kids.
