This is without doubt a great kebab/fish and chip shop…. They do pizza too. I only ever get kebabs but the food is good every time. That said, I’ve got home to find stuff missing on a few occasions. Probably due to the fact they’re mad busy in there. I’d suggest the guy that answers the phone need a tune up on customer service too! He often sound like he’d rather be somewhere else! If you get past him though, they’re a good bunch. Yummy.
We have used this takeaway for a couple of years and the food has always been consistently good. Really like the proper chip shop chips and the freshness of the food. For the first time tonight the order arrived and was incorrect. We would like to commend the customer service we received and prompt delivery of the corrected items. Other establishments should take a leaf out of Kelvedon King's book when it comes to good old fashioned customer service.
Was visiting family for the day and was recommended Kelvedon King for lunch. Ordered online delivery was very quick food arrived lovely and warm. Was surprised at the quality of food and the portion sizes. Would definitely order again from them when we are in the area again.
The food here is lovely! It's a bit further away then our local take away but it's worth it for the quality difference.
I recommend the chicken strips!!
They do everything from chip shop to kebabs, pizzas and burgers! Always a generous portion.
Staff are very helpful and polite.
Restaurant is always spotless and nicely decorated.
It's all flat floors so wheelchair access is not a problem.
You can order to take away or sit in! There is a quick seating area at the front and a restaurant area at the back.
Love the place and highly recommend.

On quite a busy high street, so parking close might be difficult - I've yet to struggle though on my couple of visits.
Very spicy chilli sauce, which I find wonderful - I didn't really need the extra scoop I asked for, although it was happily devoured!
Another useful feature it that they take payment cards - I know of a few other similar local establishments that are still cash only...
I'll look forward to working my way through the other items on the menu; the fish that was being cooked, while I was waiting, looked a decent size.
Called in during the day. Savaloy wasn't warmed. Amazing chips, properly done. No real interaction beyond the mimum needed. Will stop again on my way home, but choose something else to go with the chips (it's worth it for the chips!)
Food lovely but unfortunately on last 2 occasions there has been something missing from order. Also was difficult to order on the phone as the person in the shop couldn’t hear me properly and was frustrating for myself also as I had to keep repeating myself.

Delicious 1/2 pounder cheese burger. Awesome salad on burgers and the cheese chips with garlic sauce I would definitely recommend. Best burger in town by far! Kelvedon King’s food is very affordable. They’re popular for both of those reasons! :)
Ordered on recommendation from friends. Definitely wasn't disappointed. Delivery was quick, friendly and only £1.50 extra. Food was really nice. Its very rare to get a decent pizza and proper chipshop chips from the same place.. Normally you get supermarket frozen chips... So 10/10 chaps!! you got your self a new customer!!
Every time we have our o.a.p fishand chips from here it gets better every time we'll done Kelvedon King. In the words of arnie we will be back !
First time I've had delivery from these guys...just perfect. Crispy chips, too many to be honest....wonderful Cod, so fresh you wouldn't believe.. and cooked/fried perfectly.

A few months on and service is still as good, unfortunately fish is now covered with a thin layer of batter resembling a giant fish finger, where as before it was superb, batter how it should be...sad ....😟🤔
