Wow...we were recomended here and opted for the 'regular' fish and chips and, they're amazing! So good, its worth travelling for! Lovely traditional pub, cheery and well worth a visit!

Rog + I had the Sunday roast again yesterday, + it was gorgeous! We both chose the lamb, + Rog had a bit of gammon too! Then apple pie, + raspberry + prosecco pavlova! Lovely friendly folk, + great to chat to old friends there too. It’s so lovely to see the Farmers run so well again! Thanks! X
We have had the Sunday roast twice and last night i had the fish and chips. Jilly had the gammon and new potatoes. One word, superb! Lovely food, well cooked and very tasty. Deffo 5 star and great value.
Great food, friendly team and located very close to my house.
I called into this establishment purely going by Google reviews and wasn’t disappointed !
The two young ladies who served me throughout my visit were so incredibly nice and made all the right recommendations and the food was superb. Generally, I never take photos of food, but the desert was SOOO delicious I had to share it. I’ll always now make a point of visiting every time I have to get the Liverpool ferry back to Belfast.
Thank you to those lovely girls who made my evening a real pleasure.
Great pub traditional with excellent food. Friendly service
Very friendly family welcome and great Sunday lunch.
Cosy pub, very friendly and well priced drinks! Will come back. Dog friendly and has sports.
Cosy interior, good selection of real ales, reasonably priced menu, large car park, pleasant outdoor seating.
Decided to call in for Sunday lunch. Without doubt the best roast dinner I've ever had. Very reasonably priced £.
The staff are very friendly. Our dog Casper 🐶 will definitely be back for Sausages.
A wonderful pub, fun, homely and friendly. Excellent Sunday Roast that I can can most certainly recommend. A great selection on the menu and plenty of wines to choose from. X
Husband and I popped in here for a quick drink on our travels. Lovely friendly down to earth pub. Would definitely visit again if we were passing.
Just have to say, what an amazing venue. We had a hangry littleman after getting lost in delamere forest. They couldn't do enough for us and even cooked meals for us after the time had passed. Couldn't recommend highly enough! We will definitely be coming back when ever we are in the area. 5 stars all round. Our littleman said he loved the place too.
Sunday roast was the best I've had since I don't know when. Piping hot, good portion, bargain at £9.95 (for beef). Pity the soup seemed to be a certain variety of tomato from a tin.
6 of us just been in for Fathers day lunch. Fantastic meals all round. The Sunday roast is perfect. Trio of meats, all cooked perfectly, lovely veg and proper gravy.
Both burgers were lovely and great ribs and chicken.
Greg the chef knows his stuff and it shows in the presentation and flavours of the food.
Mac kept our drinks coming at the right time and checked all was ok.
All in all a great meal and fantastic staff.
We'll be back👍
A nice friendly pub with a large car park and good level access.
High quality yet realistically priced food is offered and the bar is well stocked. They offer a range of draught beers and lagers including guest beers.
The service is always friendly, as are the locals. Don't, drive past, drive in, park up and see for yourself.
Dog friendly pub with a nice seating area outdoors too... staff were polite and friendly. It was quiet when we went. Myself and partner visited here after going Delamere Forest with the dog and reading some positive reviews. We both ordered the Gammon, we were quite disappointed though. The gammon was very thin and hard and the fat on the outside of it was not cooked properly and was grisly, my partner couldn't eat all of his gammon.
We were asked if it was OK a few mins into getting it, hadnt tried the gammon by then, but didn't like to complain about it after we'd already been asked. They were good portions though.
What a great find in rural Cheshire. The outward appearance of a small cou try pub masks the lovely internal stonework decor. Real ales and food at exceptionally good value for money were a bonus. Whilst the soup was plain and low priced the Sunday Roasts were astounding value at under £10. Meat, mash, roasties, Yorkshire pub, red cabbage, green beans and loads of gravy made for a huge plateful of well prepared good quality food. Will go again
Great place. Lovely staff, had a great Sunday roast, highly recommend this place.
Great food and friendly atmosphere. Ideal location to call in after a walk in the woods
