Amazing. We ordered an afternoon tea for my partner's birthday. It was a late order, just the day before. Very pleasant person who talked us through the options. We settled for the normal afternoon tea plus some savouries. The whole was delivered the following afternoon at no extra charge and it was incredible. Two very large platters filled with all you could want. I wont try to describe it too much as there is a photograph. Enough to say it was ALL delicious. We could not fault a single thing. Thank you so much. Liz and Reg PS. The cake was not included it just happened to be in our photo!

Excellent value and great quality breakfast sandwiches, washed down with a great pot of tea and black coffee - the perfect start to the day! Succulent sausage sandwiches and a breakfast sandwich (bacon, sausage, egg and black pudding) in soft bread rolls, you really can't get better anywhere else! Highly recommended for take away or to sit in the cosy downstairs table area.

Fantastic hand baked cakes and light food. When allowed to open, they offer great service, in a cosy, welcoming place. Also provides a fantastic afternoon tea, delivered to your house, with an amazing selection of sandwiches, scones, cakes and tray bakes. An enormous amount of food for the price and all really tasty. Highly recommend.

Stopped here at 1.50pm on a Sunday, (10 minutes before they closed) as I needed a caffeine injection after a few hours of driving - large cappuccino, massive hot chocolate and some very pleasant cup cakes. Had hand sanitiser and wipes on each table. Were not rushed even though we had arrived 10 minutes before closing and took a while to drink the large drinks. For southerners, the prices were amazingly cheap. Easily overlooked little cafe.

Lovely lunch. Had bacon, brie and cranberry panini, which was delicious and came with a little side salad. Hot chocolate was really indulgent and the homemade scone with jam and cream was still warm and delicious. My daughter had the homemade chocolate brownie, which was rich, and also delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Had afternoon tea yesterday, just WOW....good job Malcolm supplies goody bags to take home your uneaten items. All lovely homemade cakes too, lemonade scones as light as a feather. Definitely well worth a visit. Good prices too.

I walked past initially as I didn't spot the appropriately named "Hideaway". It is very well hidden with a lovely quirky basement restaurant. I called in for a breakfast whilst waiting for my car to be repaired. Staff were very friendly and I had a lovely full English made with quality ingredients. The sausage in particular was spot on. Highly recommended and I will be back if in the area again.
