Firstly the architecture of the restaurant is amazing, it gives you a clear view of this wonderful location. The space is not very big though I would recommend making a reservation as there are not many restaurants in the area. Secondly the food is just amazing! all freshly served fish, lobster, burger, chips all of it was just amazing. The portion served is quite large the pricing is just about rite. The servers were very very friendly and made helpful recommendations from the menu.
I would highly recommend this place.

Nice and delicious hot food near the sign post. The place was clean and staff were highly helpful in choosing the right dishes. The fish was well cooked. The portions are large enough and rightly priced. The place offers nice vegan choices too.
What a great evening! Could I give them 10 stars? The staff here is incredible… we had two glass of white wine, fish and chips (the best we’ve eaten in Scotland these weeks) and then a perfect-looking tex mex fries. However, I realised only afterwards that I ordered the non-vegetarian option so I was left with no choice but have no dinner. The waitress, though, was so caring and arranged something vegetarian for me even though their kitchen had closed some minutes before. Anyway, a must in John O’Groats! Contact them on Facebook or Instagram beforehand and reserve a table as there are not many available.
Take time to ensure that you eat here. Food is great, cooked well and the menu will suit all. The tray bakes and cakes are ridiculous. You really have to try them. Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, and the view from the front is beautiful. Have a drink whilst waiting for your ferry, or are a full family lunch. Have been twice now, but it is becoming the reason to go to John O Groats now. 5 min drive to Duncansby Head and Stacks. 10 minute drive to Castle Of Mey.
Great food, great service, good selection of local drinks with sustainably sourced and local ingredients across the menu. Service is bright and relaxed just like the atmosphere and the décor. Highly recommended for a quick coffee, a well deserved pint or a full meal at any time of day.
I am glad I came across this place (especially since it was the only food place in the area open after 8pm) .Very good halloumi burger! Service was quick and efficient, all staff was lovely and approachable. Prices are very good considering the great quality of food. Highly recommend visiting if you are in the area.
Visited here shortly after they first opened with our dog and were lucky enough to have a table for two available.
The restaurant is really nice and airy, with nice décor and displays, as well as an incredible view of the water! The menu was nice, not tons of choice but sometimes that's better! My hubby and I both ordered burgers and they came in good time and in generous portions! They both tasted amazing and we loved that the majority of their food was produced/sourced locally too!
We'll definitely be back to try more of their items and it's a bonus that the dog can come too! Highly recommend for anyone touring the local area.
Great brunch and superb location facing the sea….friendly service and atmosphere
For being so north in Scotland, I wasn't expecting to find such a good vegan + vegetarian selection! Their baked goods cater to vegan + gf as well, and taste great. I also had a vegan burger which was quite yummy. Inside is beautiful and I love seeing dogs in pet friendly places.
The Northern point, John o' Groats KW1 4YR. We went to the northern point mid April 2022, there is a small menu with quality food. We had two adult and two kids meals which everyone enjoyed. Portion sizes are very generous (too much for some of our party) but first class presentation and tasted great. Staff were fantastic and very attentive. We had a small mistake on our bill which once reported was handled professionally and quickly. Would recommend this place if visiting the area.
