First class food and service, staff very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.
The best Indian meal ever! We were visiting st Helier and as we always do we thought we would go for an Indian curry. Went on a Tuesday evening so it was quiet in the restaurant. The service was excellent. We chose Chicken tikka with a masala sauce and mushroom rice. It was all freshly cooked. It was amazingly tasty. Nicely presented. We have an Indian meal every week and live in an area of England where some of the best curry houses are but no where as nice as the food we had here at the tamarind. we Would definitely recommend this place.
Amazing food, excellent service, fun friendly atmosphere, definitely worth a visit
On a short break to Jersey and noticed the Tamarind while wandering around St Helier. Returned on Saturday evening as we fancied a curry.
The food was excellent, more flavour than hot spice, and accompanied by a good red house wine. The service was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.
Two recent experiences:
In-restaurant, we were the only people dining one Tuesday evening. The food was tasty and the service was prompt but the waiter was a strange combination of over-attentive but glum.
Take-away: the food arrived faster than expected and although it was tasty it was in need of a bit more salt and was not really a "wow".
So, "boring but reliable" might be accurate overall
Very excellent indian dishes! Congrats to the cooker.
Lovely tasty food. Lots of laughter in our party and they did not ask us to shush .reasonably priced too .
Lovely food and very friendly service. Wide range of options for food too and servers couldn't do enough for you. Only thing I would say is that when we arrived it was really quiet with just one other quite rowdy group in. As a couple looking for a romantic meal we would have preferred to be seated away from the crowd, and not right next to them! Perhaps consider seating arrangements for clientele.
Good food and great service! The staff is very friendly which make the experience better. Ample of seating. They can adapt the dish to suit your spice tolerance level even though it is supposed to be very spicy. Good variety of dessert menu as well.
We ate twice in this restaurant. The first time was epic, the second divine.
No doubt if God exists, he must eat at the Tamarind.
