The food is well presented, tasty and fresh.
The service is OK.
The only downside was being told to be careful because you might be attacked by seagulls. They should probably fix this situation for their patrons?
Overall pretty good.
Had the sticky toffee pudding, carrot cake and soup of the day (leek & potato). The soup was delicious and came with focaccia bread - I’m still thinking about it!😍 The cakes were slightly dry but tasty nonetheless.
Nice and hearty cafe with surprisingly good quality food! Quiche is more like tuna cheese melt but still good taste.
Lovely staff, lovely coffee, lovely views. The best combo, be it a rainy day like today, where you can sit inside and enjoy the warmth: or a sunny day on the terrace.
The food is also great but a little pricey for what you get, I'd say their specialty is cake and drinks. So if you're in the market for that, can't recommend it enough.
A visit today at Firefly , Susan one of the counter staff such a delightful young woman although a mask was worn I could tell she had a good smile underneath it you may find her at the icecream kiosk by the charity shop. Parents, if you have children please do not allow them to run around - people are carrying trays of hot drinks. ! In the past I have noticed children running across the cafeteria.I wouldn't like any children to be scalded in an avoidable incident, spoiling such a great day at the zoo. Outside seating is available with sun brollies, breakfast is between 9.30--11.30 Monday to Friday Saturday, Sunday until 12.00pm.check menus and closing times since covid era.
Excellent service.
Although the menu isn't vast the food was excellent as we're we' portions.
Prices were also very competitive.
