Whilst in Jedburgh we thought we would stop in. Unfortunately, the cafe is now close but they do still have a takeaway shop around the back (well signposted). The staff were very welcoming and friendly. They described each item well and gave us recommendations. There wasn’t an abundance of selection but that is a positive because it suggests they focus on quality over quantity. I went for the charcoal salmon and cream cheese bagel. It doesn’t sound appealing but it was nice. The bagel was chewy and the filling was decent. I also got an almond croissant which was large and had a good pastry to filling ratio. I did find that some bites of the pastry was drier than others but it was still a very good croissant. My wife got a apple crumble cruffin which was sweet and again had plenty of filling. She wasn’t blown away by it but it was quite nice. My mother in-law also got the almond croissant which she also enjoyed. Overall for all that it was £18.50 which for a bakery is very expensive in my opinion. I do like the shop as its cute and has a variety of loafs and I get the impression they change the items frequently.
We had the pistachio and chocolate croissant with a coffee. The croissant was delicious and the coffee was excellent quality also have to give the staff 10/10 for being so lovely. We sat on a bench across the road to eat our croissants and the lovely lady who served me said she would bring our coffee to us when it was ready. Thank you for excellent food and service with a smile. We will be back. Xx
Returned visit for an anniversary brunch. Sourdough cheese toastie. Followed by a waffle with fresh fruit and yogurt and followed with a cheesecake cruffin. Washed down with a mocha. My wife had sourdough toast with avocado, bacon and egg. A doughnut with an iced coffee with oat milk and hazelnut syrup. Delicious. Well worth a visit.
We stopped in on the way back from visiting family in Scotland. What a great place to find. The food was excellently presented and tasty. We took some doughnuts for the journey, which again were delicious. Wish we weren't so far away. Thanks
Amazing coffee and food. Lovely staff and great decor, hope to be back soon! Ollie loved the croissants!
One of the loveliest cafes in the boarders! So much thought, creativity and taste put into every product, display and interior design within the cafe. Super tasty baked goods, well sized coffees in gorgeous mugs. Very friendly and helpful staff with sunny dispositions! The cakes and breads really are to die for, so good!! I’ll be going back again, and again! Thank you Naked sourdough Bakery for providing a much needed unique cafe serving delicious food to the area!
Brilliant bread baked in the shop, smooth coffee, best almond croissant in the Borders.
Delicious and authentic sourdough. Great range of flavours and beautifully presented. What a treat!
What a delightful place! Well hidden off the highway and offering some great looking food! The donut 🍩 I had was delicious! The other pastries were consumed with no complaints so I can only assume the same. We also bought a loaf of bread for home. BTW, we ordered 4 to go coffees. We dropped one (darn dogs!) which they replaced for free. THANK YOU!
Delicious fresh meals and baked treats at reasonable prices. Lovey decor and attention to detail. Friendly and helpful staff. Particularly enjoyed the salmon quiche and banoffee donut!
