Gorgeous fish and chips! Feet were killing us after finishing stretch of the Pennine Way, a lovely lady helped carry our supper to the car(bless you, service above and beyond).
Fried in beef dripping, absolutely delicious, tasted just like Rick Steins in Padstow! I would definately recommend a visit here. Veggie oil used for vegetarians.
Pop in there last night on the way back from Edinburgh. Honestly it was Best Fish&Chips I ever had in UK. Fish cooked well.Batter thin and not greasy.Chips taste like homemade.Burger well done and not dry inside. Staff are nice,polite and helpful as well. I will definitely come back there in future
Good size portions and friendly staff. Place looked nice and clean. Free parking right outside or 200m away down the hill.
This fish and chip shop really needs 10 stars they have the best tasting chips I have eaten in a long time. Don't go anywhere else these are the best in the area.

We called last night (20th August 2022) and not sure where all these negative reviews come from. Fish was fried to order the batter was delicious and they certainly were not dripping in fat. Not long home from lilliardsedge holiday Village and used Abbey take away 3 times had special fish supper it was very fresh and crispy the way I like it wife and kids had sausage suppers they were also lovely staff were very friendly if back in jedburgh on holiday again I will deffo be back .

Best chips and sausage I’ve had in years. So much so, I made sure to stop again on way back from Scotland. The lady that served us in the Sunday was really nice and friendly.
