So many good things to say about this place! Warm friendly atmosphere as we walked in and were warmly greeted by our host. There is a really nice selection of starters and mains which made it hard to decide, so will one day have to come back. Fish was absolutely delicious and all food came out piping hot. Take a look round the walls for a history of Jedburgh and it’s past locals. I was advised it used to be the school back some hundred or more years ago. If you’re there to check out castles and abbeys, make sure you stop here for a bight to eat

Popped in for a late lunch and wasn't disappointed. The battered Eyemouth haddock was amazing light batter. Staff, although busy, were welcoming, helpful, attentive, and polite. We will be back

À great traditional Scottish pub. A great simple menu. The homemade soup was lovely. A seperated dining area from the main bar. Try also the haggis meatballs. When your done you can pop into the main bar and have a game of pool, where the friendly locals will chat with you. Parking was free in front, only about 5 places and right next to the Abbey. Serving staff were very friendly. This was a authentic Scottish pub.

Stopped in for coffee and had wonderful service. The inside is nice and the food we saw being served look good. The shortbread cookies were absolutely the best.

Beautiful experience! Visited Jedburgh Jail, Castle and Museum then found this little beauty! Very nice eatery with a very warm welcome as we walked in (family of 4). Seated immediately, we were offered drinks and menus - nice selection and variety. Portions were fantastic and great value for money!

With a a bit of luck we found this place (old style) due to other places being fully booked on a rainy Tuesday! Ordered 4 different dishes and whooowww they were all very delicious - ale pie, soup, chicken pate and the batter fish. Staff was very helpful and prompt. A place not to be missed.

Cosy restaurant/bar in Jedburgh that offers good value meals. We liked the taste of the items we had ordered. We went on a midweek during a quiet late afternoon and service was reasonably quick. Serving staff was friendly.

Great food, looked after 11 of us at very short notice. Shame they closed early as we would’ve stayed for the whole evening. Would highly recommend!

Called here yesterday, after having a lovely weekend in Newcastle. What a great surprise waiting for us, from a place previously never visited. Friendly place, with a nice atmosphere, even though the pub was not full staff. Staff really nice and attentive. We had the Steak Pie and Battered Haddock, cooked from fresh, hot and absolutely delicious. Reasonable price and a place that we will now add to our must go again locations. Well worth a visit.
