We've been twice recently and both times the food was nice.
The only thing I'd suggest is, that if you call in early in the day wrap up.. It was quite chilly in there.. And don't sit near the windows..there's a Hell of draught.
Food..
We had lasagne the first time
It was nice.. The salad onions were a bit limp and tasteless like they'd been stored overnight or those mixed salad bags you can buy in the supermarket.
The second time.
I had bangers and mash with gravy so thick you could lay bricks with it.
The sausage and mash were OK
The hubby had the all day breakfast
And loved it.. Only disappointment for him was the grilled tomato was cold
it gets quite busy in there too.
We've been in twice for lunch and both times... As we were leaving there were people at just about every table.
Allow the costumes to tip the staff, when it's so understaffed, that the bar is 4 deep... lovely food and service, but not allowed to show our appreciation by tipping.. absolutely ridiculous as a company to allow this..
If I want to say, thank you to the staff, who are you as a firm,to say I'm not allowed..

I love being in the prince, the staff are amazing always help, Alison is lively and friendly, Emma is fast and approachable and Jean is funny and good with myself and the customers
Just popped in for a pint....been passing here for years ...found it pleasant ☺️..big screens for sports..

All was good, especially staff: working on a very busy teatime. We have been many times and obviously will be back. PS the beef burgars were brilliant.
The service at the Prince is speedy and the staff (Jean and alison) are lovely

My little boy couldnt decide what he wanted and got a mini mixed grill. The little chuffy he got thinking he was a big boy 😂😂
Awesome food, great staff.. no bacon (most things on the menu has bacon with it) or big steaks when we visited unfortunately.. but the food we did have was excellent.. highly recommended...
Lovely steak whilst enjoying a relaxing drink with family after a hard week at work
I come regularly with my little doggy for a couple of pints. The staff are lovely . Alison the new manager is a great and has really turned this place around the food is excellent and I can only say that the place is going from strength to strength.
First time here the food was great and the beer was good. Will be revisiting shortly
