Late booking made for a dog friendly pub in Bury area for a roast. Great decision to head to The Pykkerell, nice position on high street of Ixworth with lots of on street parking. Great food. We had a starter of garlic mushrooms and curried carrot soup and then 2 beef and pork roasts. Portion sizes really good with Cauliflower cheese included. Highly recommend and will happily return

We only stayed for about an hour for drinks and snacks. Nice place. Good service and some friendly locals (I assume).

Went here as a result of a review in a newspaper regarding best places to go for a Sunday roast. Found this to be true to the hype, food was delicious, well portioned and lovely old style pub atmosphere. The only thing we would say (and is purely a personal preference) is for crispier roast potatoes. We will be going again.

Had lunch here to celebrate my brother in law's 80th birthday and it's about halfway between our villages. At the moment lunch is served at the café which was very pleasant, but unfortunately it closes at 2pm and we weren't aware of this.

The food was excellent! And the portion sizes were pretty good! Nobody likes to wish they had more space for the things they like as they watch it go to waste. The staff were polite, kind, knowledgeable, and attentive without being overbearing. The pricing is good too! 😀 I can't wait to go back! 😀

I love coming to this pub especially on Sundays as they have an excellent Sunday roast that can’t be beat and just today I also tried the biscoff sundae and it was so amazing. Please if you are in the area try this pub. Also very friendly locals and fur babies are welcome which is another reason I love spending my afternoons there

We stopped in for a bite to eat on a hot Sunday afternoon and was pleased with our meals. The bar lady (sorry didn't get her name) was very helpful and adapted our meal with no problems
