Firstly, the food is amazing. Staying here for a couple of weeks whilst working locally. One of the best full English breakfasts I've had in a long while. The lasagne is out of this world. The staff work really hard here too make sure of a comfortable stay. Warm welcome, friendly patrons. Good beer!
Had a very nice Sunday roast here, although the missus said her roast pork was like chomping on an old shoe. It was, but the roast beef was nice. I would go back there one time. Can't comment on the hotel side as we didn't stay there but I think it's probably the only hotel in ivybridge
Had a nice stay here whilst on a biking tour. £80 for one night including a good breakfast. Friendly staff and allowed me to store My bike in a safe place overnight. The room was functional with a tv and tea/coffee making facilities Also, had a delicious homemade lasagna with garlic bread. I'd stay
Clean, comfy enough hotel with good breakfast and lovely staff. The rooms are very tired looking with creaky floors and quite thin walls, probably wouldn't want to stay there any great length of time, but good for a quick stop off.
Brilliant friendly staff. Very accommodating. Had a lovely meal.
It was my cousins birthday last sunday so we went to the Sportsman for lunch.. We had the best roast dinner. It was served with a modern twist and tasted amazing...and served by helpful obliging waitresses.. Of course not forgetting choice starters and deserts'.. All at a very reasonable price. We
Absolutely amazing Sunday roast! Staff all very pleasant and even the chef Stevie came out to greet us and check meal was all going well which it definitely was and didn’t last long. Will return again very soon.
Lovely Rooms, friendly staff! Good food and an easy check in check out process. Great service from Hayley one of two women working who is welcoming, talkative, professional and it's got to be said; undoubtebly attractive! The other girl also seemed really busy and friendly but was often cuddling an
Second visit to the lovely sportsman's Inn, staying two nights, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, food is amazing, staff very helpful and friendly.
The place doesn’t look like much from the outside, but walk through and you are welcomed by incredible food, great atmosphere and friendly staff, perfect start to the two moors way. Thanks
Great night at the quiz. Will definitely be going again, such a laugh.
Very nice food and the staff are very welcoming will use again when I pass through for a try of the Rooms.
Hosted us for a birthday party and they were very accommodating plus the food was delicious
Very warm welcome, good clean rooms ,good food, nice people. I'm back tomorrow.
Nice pub, good food, and very helpful staff. Went above and beyond to help me out when I left something at the pub and needed to get it shipped to my next destination.
Looks are disiving as Looks small from the outside but very big when you get inside, beer not expensive staff friendly and they have a brilliant area to sit on settees
Nice little cafe Had fish finger sandwich, nice chunky fish fingers, Mr had smoked mackerel salad, all good but let down by the cakes, Victoria sponge cake was dry with not much butter icing. Wifes coffee walnut cake didn't taste very much like coffee. Would go back though as service and savory food
