Awesome beer garden! Clean and tidy with lovely plantings around the fence line. The menu was small but the food we had was excellent (smoked salmon pate starter). The staff were great and there is table service.
Couple, 56 years, Germany Someone here has thought and implemented the concept very well: from homemade fresh food to the choice of colors and furnishings of the rooms. The concept is very coherent and convincing. We felt very welcome. The entire house is very tasteful and cozy. A good price-performance ratio.

Perfect country pub very close to Winchester in a sweet English village. Wonderful staff who are very attentive, great food and lovely refurbished rooms to stay in with all the amenities needed. Would definitely return to stay over night in one of the rooms. Also a great bonus they are dog friendly!
First visit for a few years stopped on the off chance of a table for Sunday lunch.

Great roast beef very well cooked and plenty of it. Only downside were the vegetables were slightly undercooked.
Chocolate brownie was excellent but the homemade salted caramel ice cream was very salty!
Overall a good experience, note this is a dog friendly pub too!.

Stopped off on the way to Winchester. We received a warm welcome, from the staff. The food was excellent. We a steak and a good pasta. The creme brulee was one of the best we have ever had and the homemade icecream is a must try. The choice of beer was very good.

Stayed for night in a clean average room. Dining in house offered a good selection, and food was good value. Service efficent and friendly.
Good standard of accommodation and great breakfast, but this time no fruit juice with limited choice of cereals but full English is great especially with Heather's lovely poached eggs.

Beautiful pub in Itchen Abbas, close to Winchester in Hampshire. Good selection of beers and ales. Very good quality food. Very good friendly service. Beer garden. Free carpark. Free wi-fi. Pub also has accommodation with balconies.

This is the most charming and welcoming place.
On arrival we were welcomed by a lovely friendly member of staff. We were shown to our room which was lovely. There was tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits in our room. The ensuite had lovely toiletries. It really was the most perfect room with a beautiful view.
The food was absolutely outstanding and totally delicious. The service was perfect. After dinner we moved to the bar which was so lovely. Great selection of drinks and once again great service.
After a very quiet night's sleep we enjoyed the most delicious breakfast. The locally sourced ingredients were cooked to perfection. The coffee was great quality and tasted delicious.
We were lucky enough to stay for 2 nights and the food was fabulous during our whole stay.
We can not recommend The Plough highly enough. What makes this place extra special are the team. They really are wonderful.
Extra information: there is free parking and the location is about 10-15 mins from Winchester!

Didn't eat here but checked out the menu which looks very nice. Modernised but still has a country pub feel about it.
Superb Valentine’s dinner, especially enjoyed the hambledon included with the meal. All cooked perfectly. Tuna course was new to me and really enjoyed it. Garlic mushrooms delicious. Steak great especially with the blue cheese sauce. Pudding didn’t disappoint 💕💕 Thank you
The perfect place if you want dinner and room. I realy enjoyed my stay at the Plough pub! Very tasty food and nice and clean room.
OK pub, slightly overpriced menu, but friendly staff and locals. Car park to the rear can get full.
UPDATE: Due to the current Covid-19 situation, this pub is working hard to ensure everyone's safety. Usual Covid-19 security questions, but not a problem. Lovely visit and will return.
