The George Inn - Isle of Wight - Photo album

What a fantastic meal, the staff were attentive, friendly and made us feel very welcome. The setting was as good as the staff, we had a disabled child with us and staff couldn't be more helpful if they tried and finally Sunday dinner, wow, what a chef, its our last day on the island but next time we
A traditional pub that provide a decent Sunday roast at a reasonable price. Good location as 2 minutes walk from bus station. They do seem to close some days and food is not served every day arm.
The best Sunday Roast dinner ,value for money. It comes Cauliflower cheese and all the trimmings.. in Newport. In fact, the best one we've had on the Isle of Wight. Friendly staff and has a great beer garden.
Great atmosphere, lovely hard working staff. Food was amazing , great veggie option too . Many thanks for fitting us in as we hadn't booked . Highly recommended. Thank you.
On holiday for a week we craved a Roast dinner. The George was the first place we saw when we got off the bus. As we had the dog we needed to be in the beer garden which was beautifully kept with flowers and features. All the staff were polite, attentive and the food was delicious. Only £14.95 for 3
A lovely family run pub, always a nice welcome and relaxed atmosphere. Very good value Sunday lunches. Advisable to book in advance.
Nestled in a small olde worlde looking village, you walk through the garden gates into an oasis of modern luxury where nothing is too much trouble. The glorious weather helped set this weekend off, but the staff were friendly, they totally accommodated the children, food was delicious and drinks cam
Really friendly bar staff and great service. Very accommodating and the food was amazing!
What can I say, the 3 course Sunday roast was fantastic, Bob and the staff was really friendly and we felt so safe in there, We would highly recommend the George Inn fantastic service ( Sorry forgot to take a photo of the Hot Chocolate Fudge cake ). Definitely booking again.
Strange decor mix in this busy pub near the bus station - beams, anaglypta, brickwork, wood paneling but somehow it works. Nice fireplace for a cold day. Large seating area outside. Extensive pub grub menu £10 range. Pint of Fosters £3.90
I will definitely book well in advance next time in eating at the george, managed to get a table, we were told there would be a little delay , not a long wait at all, the meal was really good we'll worth the little wait (10 mins) service was excellent thanks very much
The best Sunday roast ever! I had the nut loaf and my husband had the turkey. 6 different vegetables, yorkshire pudding, gravy, cauliflower au gratin. Every bite was simply scrumptious.
Great food. Great service. Lovely friendly staff 😊
