Looked like it's been done up recently. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly. Expect solid portions of tasty British food rather than fine dining. Kids menu was OK. Atmosphere was a bit flat as we were the only ones in but it was midweek out of high season.

what a fantastic place, pub... while my daughter and my beloved went to the lighthouse, I stopped here for a couple of beers and only had a phone with a credit card, which worked once ordered. The second beer card didn't work ,so the chap behind the bar paid another guy. I was chatting to paid for a beer for me....when my beloved came in, I did buy beers back ... but how nice was that... also I probably found out more sitting in this pub than going to the lighthouse Best day

Good food and drink and very hospital and tidy. Local gave up his his table so our group of four could sit and drink/eat together. Prawn sandwiches and a poke of chips. Very good. Good pint of Doombar.

2nd time here whilst on holidays & yet another top notch carvery Sunday lunch! So tasty, generous portions, and so reasonably priced. Staff all lovely & friendly & so welcoming. Went out of their way to accommodate us in the beer garden as there were no tables left inside. Look forward to visiting again! Xx

This lovely little pub on the side of a roundabout could be easily passed by but it really is worth stopping in for a visit. It was our first time visiting the pub and from the moment we entered we were greeted with a warm and friendly smile. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff especially Jamie and Zak . The carvery was absolutely amazing. The meat melted in my mouth and the roast potatoes were the best I've ever had. Put that together with a warm but relaxed atmosphere and this little gem of a pub on Portland will definitely be on my list to revisit.

Stopped off for a pint and some food on a break from our coastal walk. Was told only basket menu....pleasantly surprised, husband had fish and chips , I had scampi and chips , a decent portion served in a basket. Great idea and really fair price. Very happy 👍

Wonderful Sunday Carvery, best roast potatoes ever (don't tell my mum). Generous meat portions, lots of veg variety. Would have been 5 stars but felt a little rushed, we weren't offered to see the dessert menu, and when asked were told there was no time as the next sitting was due in 10 minutes. We arrived 5 minutes before our booking, and had to wait for our table to be cleared had to wait for our turn at the carvery . A hour and half just isn't long enough for the sitting. But to finish on a positive, great value to money.
