The Breakwater - Isle of Lewis - Photo album

An absolute gem, on an island with very little possibilities to eat out! It has a large picture window overlooking stunning Ness Beach and a lovely decor and atmosphere. Very good coffee and we tried quite a bit of the menu, as a familiy of 5 with one lunch visit and 1 dinner. The Nichean Chicken wa
Fantastic place for a lunch spot! Pizza was delicious! Delightful views and friendly staff. A lovely relaxing lunch in the sun and a walk on the beach with the dog
We ate on a Thursday night, and the restaurant was busy with locals. It is worth noting that the chicken, steak, etc. needs to be ordered the day before, which it was the chicken that I had wanted to try. The lady server was very knowledgeable about the allergens and was able to guide me. We had sta
Delicious freshly cooked Scottish food. The Stornoway Black pudding Pizza was yummy. The Panoramic views of the Port of Ness from the cafe are priceless.
The food was absolutely amazing delicious and very much homemade. We tried soup, lightbites, Scampi meal, and one of the party had a fantastic dessert. Although extremely busy, staff were very attentive and friendly. Highly recommend pre booking. So good, my companions are returning to have dinner
Incredible find in port of Ness that caters to all dietary requirements. We walked in and the restaurant was full but they had a no-show reservation so we were lucky to get a window seat with a lovely view. We ordered a custom 12” pizza (margarita with goats cheese, pesto and jalapeños) and a mushr
Enjoyed takeaway lunch for three adults here on Tues & Weds afternoon. Great food & coffee in a truly stunning location. On our third visit, we shared delicious pizzas sat outside in the sunshine!
Stopped by for a late lunch today after a walk on the beach with the dogs. We ordered 3 specials (chicken burgers) and a plate of nachos for the table. Food was fantastic, the staff and service superb. We'll be back for more..... Returned to The Breakwater for lunch today, as usual food was fantast
One of the best soups I had in the area ! The fries and cakes looked good too. Plus, the setting is really nice ! I'd recommend booking a table in advance.
Lovely spot to eat outside on a sunny day. Food had obviously been cooked to order so took a wee while. Good value panini and toasted sandwich with salad and a generous helping of delicious coleslaw. Husband very happy with the Ameretto milkshake.
