An awesome place. The staff are very friendly. The cafe has an amazing selection of homemade made cakes, scones, soup and sandwiches made by volunteers. The view from the cafe is across Loch Erisort where, porpoise, dolphins, sea eagles and otters have been seen. The museum is also manned by knowle
Museum was super interesting, particularly the section on the history of whaling in Lewis. The shop out front is really well-stocked and is reasonably priced. Didn't get any food but the cafe has some beautiful views of the loch - definitely worth a stop!
Lovely friendly welcome here, the cafe was serving some excellent baked goods and even provided us with binoculars to sit and look across the water. Well stocked shop, fabulous local history museum and gallery.
Looks naff from outside but if you're in the area the small museum is worth a look and you can grab a coffee and cake and enjoy the view over the water. There's also a small shop selling essentials like ice cream.
Well stocked shop if a bit pricey, but they have what you need and it's a loooong way to a supermarket! Cafe is self service and just tea, coffee and cakes, but all delicious and views to die for. The museum is very interesting & the knowledgeable staff are very friendly too...Anetta :)
