5* food and service. Gavin and his staff are on to a winner; exemplary service and fantastic seafood with a stunning sea view...we had the *best* night at the Pantry. And it was fabulous value too!

A warm welcome awaits you at The Pantry which is vital island hub throughout the year, especially in the darker winter months. The menu is great and offers local produce whenever possible including oysters, smoked salmon and to die for Colonsay honey ice cream! Do bear in mind that running a catering business on an island is not easy, with supply chains often disrupted by weather and ferry schedules. Gavin and his team deserve medals for juggling everything with a smile. Don't leave without picking up some Colonsay souvenirs from inside the cafe. You can't go wrong with a hat, a hoody and a jar of the best honey in the U.K.

Had dinner here twice during our short break to this lovely island. The set up and food are great. We had the biggest langoustines we have ever seen! The chef is a very talented man and all the staff were lovely.

A visit to colonsay isn't complete without having dinner at the Pantry. Great wee place, very friendly service and the food is amazing.

Delicious and very accommodating for people with food intolerances. They made me gluten free fish and chips and I ate it too quickly to get a photo of it. They’re also dog friendly, which is such a plus.

Had a brilliant lunch. Advanced booked on the website, had very quick replies from Gavin. Food was great, service was great and everyone enjoyed their lunch. So much so we were back for coffee, ice cream and more food later! We had our 3 dogs tied up to a picnic bench and a friendly sheep came over to say hello too.

A rightly popular spot to eat or enjoy a coffee while watching the ferry arrive. Great food, service and views. Not run of the mill, and well worth a visit.

Happt to arrange an amazing fish platter as a takeaway and welcomed us on a second occasion eating in the new cabin. Excellent food in both occasions and super helpful and friendly people front and back of house.

We've eaten here every time we've visited the island, and always enjoyed really good food and good service. The recent refurbishments are really cool, and we look forward to returning soon!

Everyone here is so friendly and efficient 😊 And they have a separate vegan menu - even vegan beer, wine and gin!! What's not to like?? Burgers are awesome, will try to get a photo to post.

Really friendly welcome. My Gammon steak was first class and a really good sized portion. Licensed premises, so able to wash it down with a bottle of Colonsay beer before walking down to watch the Ferry leave
