Just had the most amazing meal here tonight. Friends & I have been coming to the Uists for over a decade. This is one of the best meals we’ve had. Nice ambiance. Relaxed restaurant. Excellent service & local food to die for. The langoustines are possibly the best I’ve had. Succulent, fresh & sweet. Go there.

Just back from the Bistro. We had an absolutely wonderful meal as could be demonstrated by the empty plates we returned to the kitchen. I have fussy children and their peculiarities were catered for willingly and in an extremely helpful manner, without as much as a bat of the eyelids. I can highly recommend the Bistro as a fantastic place to eat whether with or without fussy children! We will definitely be back again

Just had a fantastic night at the Bistro. Octopus salad and surf and turf lobster and steak. Wonderful meal in a great environment. Highly recommend seeking it out, you will not be disappointed. Make sure you leave space for the pudding. Just saying!

We just had our first evening meal at the Bistro - it was excellent. Really good wine, interesting and delicious starters, fabulous mains and delicious puds. Well done the bistro! What a great asset for #Berneray!

Lovely coffee stop after a very "fresh" doggy walk on the island (it was blawin' a hoolie ). Warming mocha and deliciously light and tasty lemon drizzle cake. Friendly service and lovely ambience. Will definitely return to sample more of the menu and a wee glass of vino next time

Can't fault this place but bookings would be recommended as it's not an overly big restaurant. The food was delicious, particularly adored the raspberry roulade and pricing was definitely reasonable for the quality of food that was provided, staff were very friendly and accommodating particularly as my husband has mobility issues. Looking forward to my return visit already.

Lovely decor and very pleased to have table service. Lots of bright art work and several windows. Options to sit outside with lovely views towards Skye. Happy with our flat whites one with oat milk. Delicious home made cakes. Mine was a caramel cake made by a local lady called Jinny. Would visit again if we were going to the beach in Berneray.

A:lovely place with very nice lunch options. Very Friendly and clean. The shop next door offers the most you need on the island. A nice drive up to Berneray and further to the Eastbeach. Pretty little villages or houses. Colours of the water unbelievable.

Great that this little bistro was still open as many other local facilities all closed at the end of September. Great choice of lunch dishes, fresh local lobster a bonus . Coffee and cakes also available. Staff friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a stop off here.

We had lunch, dining in the Bistro, and the food was really good. Could have been a cheaper meal, but 2 of us out of 7 had the lobster, which was amazingly tasty. Very friendly staff, clean, lovely decore, and artwork. Only slight letdown was limited parking, but we managed to get in and seated as we stopped just before lunchtime. I'd recommend booking in advance, overall an excellent experience for our family. If seen by the bistro staff, thank you for a lovely meal and friendly welcome. Well worth a visit.

Wow..... what can I say about this place. We went for dinner and lunch. The menu is to die for and the staff are so friendly. On my first trip they had the wheelchair ramp ready for me and couldn't have been more helpful . The shop is well stocked and they even had a vegan magnum ice cream...I am slightly allergic to milk etc so for the first time in ages I was able to share an ice cream with Clare. Can I suggest that the bistro maybe looks at a vegan/dairy free ice cream range aswell, this would be a great addition. Booking is advised as this place is so popular and you can see why. Brilliant x

Just walked here from the YH on berneray for dinner. The fish and chips were just the best, freshest and tastiest I have had in many years. And the waitress was lovely and engaging too. As for dessert, sticky toffee pudding was to die for! Well worth a stop in - a meal with great views too!

For the island this cafe is probably quite nice and one of the only spots you can sit and enjoy a casual dining environment. They do quite tasty food although the menu is fairly basic, which works. Staff were accomodating.

Small shop with enclosed bistro close to the ferry terminal. Walking takes probably 5 to 10 minutes. Good to grab something while waiting for the ferry - especially when the food truck at the ferry is closed. Unfortunately do not have sandwiches to go (at least when I was there). Nice terrace to sit outside and enjoy some small food or a coffee.

Brilliant little cafe and shop very close to the North Uist ferry terminal. Superb food (remember to leave space for a cake!). If you want to eat indoors at peak times I suggest booking in advance as space is limited.

Without doubt the very best place to eat gorgeous locally sourced food in North Uist. The wine selection is great too, and the team running the show are incredibly warm and welcoming.
