Hidden gem! The food is incredible and the coffees. The interior design is simply outstanding it’s cosy relaxed and warm! The place is slight more expensive than most but definitely worth it for a little treat! It’s also only card payments! & is also dog friendly.

I am so in love with this place. 1st impressions hit hard as you walk in through the doors and greeted with a beautiful fit out, a gorgeous selection of donuts and that smell of coffee! I am visiting from Australia and have found it hard to find a nice coffee shop but at GRO I have found my go to when staying in Irvine. The coffee is amazing, the donuts - delicious & the staff are lovely and very helpful

Gro is an absolute gem of a place, located right on the beach front. Staff are so welcoming and friendly, very cosy settings, lovely atmosphere, extensive menu, and the cakes on display as you walk in are what dreams are made of! My partner and I only came across this place a few weeks back, we live about an hour's drive away, and have been back twice already!! Would highly recommend, well worth a visit.

Absolutely superb Sunday Brunch, we went for the Stornaway Benedict and the Pulled Brisket, both were amazingly tasty, couldn't resist taking away some cakes too, it wasn't exactly local for us but well worth the trip and will be back

Love love love went for breakfast during a weekend away had the pancake stack was brilliant can't wait to go back for cake and tea before we head home atmosphere is great there is a play area for kiddies and is also dog friendly

Great food and coffee. Very very busy, booking recommended for every visit. Cakes look amazing. Outdoor and Indoor seats. Service a bit slow (due to the busy bit) but worth the wait. Nice friendly staff too.

Great relaxing layout with incredibly friendly staff. It can get busy due to how popular it is, but the staff will try their best to get you seen to.
The food & drinks on offer are top of the range, whether you're popping in for lunch or dinner.
The Scotsman burger that I had is quite possibly the best burger that I've ever tasted.

Excellent cafe/ Restraunt tucked away in Irvine. It’s very popular, and it’s not hard to see why-we came just after 1pm and had a 20 minute wait for a table-which was well worth it. Great breakfast menu, with a Scottish twist, great lunch options, and the pastries and cakes 👌🏼 very nice. Highly recommended.

I would love to meet the people behind this brilliant breakfast menu and bountiful cakes. Coffee hot and delicious. Cozy atmosphere and friendly service. My dish would have been excellent except it arrived cold, which detracted from it a bit. For the price, it could’ve been better. Will chalk it up to being very busy. Would be willing to give it another try.

Sophie was our waitress and was a breath of fresh air. Served quickly with a smile and friendly chat. Manager material without a doubt. She could whip Ayr branch into shape. Thank you Sophie. Food was served quickly and was delicious.

We stopped in for lunch today after a walk around the harbour / beach area. GRO seems a popular place, and for good reason. There is plenty of seating both indoor and out, dogs and families are made welcome and the outside play area for the younger kids looks great.
The food and coffee was very good, with good portion sizes at a pretty good price. All of the staff were really nice and there is plenty of parking nearby. We'll worth a visit

Cakes are out of this world ! Nice coffee's too. Great outside/inside seating. By this I mean you can sit inside, outside under cover or outside. Blankets provided. Dog friendly too! We'll be back !!

Went in this morning for breakfast which was fine and didn't take too long to arrive. However we waited a good 10 minutes or so for our plates to be cleared. We said to the waitress at that point we would like to order cake...20 minutes later I had to ask her to take our order, not sure how much longer we would have been waiting otherwise. 15 minutes pass and no one goes anywhere near the cake counter. All in all over half an hour passes after finishing our meal so we decided to just pay and leave. Even after indicating to the waitress we were cancelling our cake order because we had waited too long all we got was a hurried sorry. Only 2 waitresses on and it seemed like another member of staff would have helped. While we do like Gro, the menu is good and the staff are welcoming, the service is always excessively slow.

amazing! would definitely recommend this to everyone. We had a great time yesterday. Was so nice to find somewhere local to sit outside and chill out with the baby and have fabulous food. With my other half always fussy when it comes to food as he used to be a chef... he even gave this place a 5* too. Staff and the whole atmosphere was so friendly. Can't wait to go back for another wee munch and a glass of wine :)

Really enjoyed my first visit to Gro. The place has a nice cosy atmosphere + dogs ❤, the staff are really friendly too. It was brilliant having vegan options like Sgaia bacon, Linda McCartney sausages, & vegan cheese. The food came out nicely presented. Liked the fact it was thick cuts of artisan bread. Great vegan cake options which is amazing! Had the chocolate orange loaf 👌. Having a selection of dairy free milks to choose ❤🌱. My only criticism is the soya had split a bit in the flatwhite, however with how packed it was i thought the staff coped really well, will definitely be back 👍

Myself and my fianceé decided to try here for lunch recently as we were sick of staying local for lunch and decided we fancied some different scenery. Very easy to get to and adequate parking was definitely a plus! � inside GRO, it was quite spacious with some cramped corners which being a cafe, I can appreciate � a waitress welcomed us and showed us to a free table. The staff were very friendly towards us and now onto the food...After being presented with the bill, I would definitely say to anyone thinking of coming here to make sure they have plenty of money with them as it is quite extortionate and DEFINITELY not worth the money � I myself had scrambled egg on toast with an (organic) cola and my fianceé had eggs benedict with a bottle of sparkling water, and afterwards a latte to takeaway with a small traybake which all came to £24 plus! will not be back on that basis!

Lovely little place, beautiful decor and great atmosphere. Just wish that some of the yummy looking cakes were gluten free. Would definitely go back if this was an option. So many other places cater for the GF diet now!
